Front diff exploded lol

Driving up a wet grass hill in 4 low when the front diff housing casing split - made a hell of a noise too

21 w/ 37 package and 6k -

Impressive!

This is my 4th raptor and I can assure you all the other ones worked much harder before failure.

Well, that shouldn't happen, that's the first one Ive heard of on the forum anyway. At least it is happening while its under warranty. Keep us posted on what the dealer says about the repair process and time line on a new dif.

They just pulled the diff today and said I’ll have updates Monday.

They said it’s likely a casting flaw in the part when the aluminum was poured into the tool as it shouldn’t of failed especially while under such low load (wet grass hill)

All under warranty no issue so far

Good find - that’s exactly my issue.

Looks like a design flaw where the load is distributed through the case - surprised ford hasn’t fixed it.
