You can use the factory camera if you know how to make a harness direct from camera to lock pick, I have the proto camera in my truck, here's how the after market system is working.
Put truck in reverce camera comes on, while driving press and hold phone button on steering wheel for 3 sec, a promp shows on nav screen, veiw rear camera Y OR N , press phone button again promp veiw front camera Y OR N, once you press and hold the phone button, you scroll through the lock pick functions, rear camera , front camera, dvd, and so on.

Sure, now your making me feel stupid for buying both front and rear when I ordered. Guess I will just have to wait longer or add another front camera. Might wait a bit for that one. The pile of mods is getting bigger by the day now and truck isn't even here yet. Hope my wife doesn't look too close at all the boxes in my office at work.

Dont feel bad about ordering the camera's, Im only doing this because I purchased my truck as a left over, and they never ordered my truck with the camera's
My win in this is, it's was way cheeper than factory parts and reflashing my truck.

But let me also state that I am not saying one system is beter than the other, this works best for me being my truck never had any camera's on it, for those who have the front and rear camera's, the company that can bypass/jail break the system, might be the better route for you.

Hey now, wait your turn! We 2012 owners have been waiting semi-patiently for a solution for our Sync systems for a year now. :wtf:

And now Greg says it's going to be another two weeks. That might as well be next year. Oh wait a minute...that IS next year! :ROFLJest:

Seriously though! I'm sure that once the Sync system gets figured out MFT will follow right behind.

LOL I was just about to say that. 2013 owners go scratch, enjoy all the other new gizmo's and gadgets of your new truck, us 2012 owners have been waiting a long time to have the front camera compatable with lockpick/navtv!

Why feel stupid? Go watch the vids above of the NAVTV beta test unit. It works with the factory front camera, and seems to be integrated pretty nicely. Also the factory camera has lines that project where the wheels are headed towards, doubt an aftermarket one will have that feature. Also the factory one has a washer squirter built in to clean the front camera. Although I do wish that option was hooked up to the rear camera, my rear one gets 100x's dirtier than my front camera!

No real chance she doesn't notice all the boxes. Her office is just down the hall. Employees might not tell, but then again while I am the owner she does sign the paychecks.

Reptar is correct, the aftermarket camera as of now does not have the guide lines, and correct about the camera washer, but thats the cheapest part of the whole system to add. Bottom line is , if you have factory camera's then nav-tv might be the way to go, if your truck has no camera's lock-pick I think is the cheaper route to go.
Its your truck, your money, your call.
