Ok, so let me get this straight. Lockpick with stock rear camera is a go. Lockpick with stock front not, but is with lockpick front camera? Can we unplug the stock front camera and make adaptor to the aux input where lockpick cam would have plugged in and we are good....??? Can't be that easy right? LOL

I meant that I was hopping for a bypass for MFT for the '13s. There has to be some mega-nerds working on this(no offense). I'm blonde for Christ sakes. I wouldn't know how to figure it out.

Hey now, wait your turn! We 2012 owners have been waiting semi-patiently for a solution for our Sync systems for a year now. :wtf:

And now Greg says it's going to be another two weeks. That might as well be next year. Oh wait a minute...that IS next year! :ROFLJest:

Seriously though! I'm sure that once the Sync system gets figured out MFT will follow right behind.

nope its not. the front camera works entirely different. busa could probably explain it better than me but i know the computer tells the camera to turn on. its way more than just swapping some wires around

People say it is entirely different but some guys have stated issues when front camera activated when put in reverse. That leads me to believe that the front works similarly to the rear

Yes, you can run the factory camera to the lock-pick, but you need to make the harness to do so, I spoke with camera sourse about this before he started working on the front camera, I was working with him on it, and asked if I sent a factory camera could he make the harness to go to the lock pick, answer was yes, the problem isn't the camera, it the system that works the camera, goes through the module and linked with the off road, 4wd system, so front camera direct to lock pick will and does work, but now when you go into 4wd, you bypassed the factory set up. still at 50/50, it all on what you want and how you want it to function

here, on frf
from what i understand the front camera signal goes through multiple modules before ever reaching the head unit. the back up camera is much less complicated, therefore easier to hack.

Yes correct, the factory camera would have to be wired direct to the lock pick, for it to be open any time, but now your eliminating the factory system in doing that,

Here is how I get it so far... Lockpick will only work with the factory rear camera and does not currently offer a bypass if you have a factory front camera. If you buy a second camera you can bypass and make it work where ever you decide to mount it. So if you just don’t use the factory camera you could use a third party camera and view that. Lockpick is hung on the different modules it goes to prior to going into bypass mode. Currently if you went in to bypass mode you can interfere with proper operation of 4wd module. Also problem with if you are in bypass mode and shift to reverse there is an issue with the head unit video with both on at the same time... I don’t have the Nav-tv unit yet hope to have an answer tomorrow as to exactly when or if they will send me a test unit... hoping....
