Definitely cheaper. Wait the iPad 3 doesn't have GPS antenna? Try the Google Maps app I suggested to Wilson. I can't remember which one I have since my company gave it to me...maybe a 4? Not a big fan of Apple
The iPad with just WIFI uses WIFI routers to triangulate your position...so in populated areas you might be ok but not in the sticks...plus I hear the accuracy is 5 to 10 meter off...so no joy on the WIFI only iPad...
But I think I will spend the $100 for a receiver:
- ELPH 1000
-Dual Electronics XGPS150A Universal Bluetooth GPS Receiver for Portable Devices
Plus if I get a router in the truck...I can watch movies, surf, check emails from my laptop, iPad, PC etc...
Maybe I can put a big TV in the bed to watch some adult movies...circle up...
