what MotionX should I put on the GPS drive or GPS HD?

The HD one. YOu should have GPS on that iPad. If you want to check it out it should have come loaded with Google Maps, so just start Google Maps and tell it to find your location. You will know right quick if you GPS antenna.

YOu can connect to home WIFI and dowload the Rausch Creek area maps(tiles) I did the Terrain ones and probably picked too big of an area since it took like 6 hours to download but now I don't need to worry about streaming them live from the internet while I am there.

yes I've done the google map it's cool. I basicly want this for SDBR or any other run I might get to go on. I can't make this one will be harvesting. Not going on trips this close to farming priorities again.

Maybe we can get to meet at the next SnoBall since I plan on attending this year.

Enjoy the MotionX, I will let you know how it works at the HITH. Now I need to find a decent mount for the iPad. God the mods never end.......

Wait...

Ok I want to do the same, but am falling behind...

So I have iPad 3 & 1 and with WIFI only, so I will need an external GPS and the MotionX and a mount and I should be good to go for the run?

Is the Bad ELPH 1000 the only apple approved GPS Receiver?

OR I can purchase a Lowrance Elite with external Antenna for around $700 plus mounting and wiring?

The iPad sounds like the way to go?

Definitely cheaper. Wait the iPad 3 doesn't have GPS antenna? Try the Google Maps app I suggested to Wilson. I can't remember which one I have since my company gave it to me...maybe a 4? Not a big fan of Apple
