So i went with kings. love them. I have 3.0 coilovers in the front. now for the big news

Im in the process of making my bed cage that will be welded to the frame with horizontal gusset bars to keep the frame nice and stiff.....
The reason I am welding it is because I am going to cut my bed and slap on King 4.5's with 4 bypass tubes and some deaver springs.

this is what i will be doing while guys are at TRR mwhahaha

Thought you were taking a test...

Ohh the irony.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about. And despite your best intentions, you're doing ICON no favors by continuing to sound like a fool.

BigJ not sure what the problem is but I wont say anything more about ICON since I don't know what I am talking about and you have some info that makes me look like a fool.
My apologies to ICON.

I have Fox 3.0 front and rear. been running them for 6 months, Getting ready to ship them to RPG to do their Tuning set up. Also saw some Fox 3.0,s on the Fox display truck (not the race truck) at fremont street before the MINT 400 with Adjuster knobs on the rear Bypass shocks. Reps said that they should be available as a add on part to your Fox 3.0 shocks in about 3 months. So i will probally wait to ship till they are available....
In the mean time, since my truck is also my dailey driver, I just got delivered at full set of ICON 3.0 front and rear along with UCA's.

Effectively I will be doing my own comparrison with me driving and what ever i decide i will keep the other as backup for when something needs serviced or revalved.

i will keep you posted, install this weekend.

This its what I wanted to see... Someone who can say that they've honestly tried (for a significant time, not I just a lap) both. Looking forward to your write up on the comparison jay...

Ohh the irony.

There's no irony in my statement...

That thread could be restored if you choose (that's what moderators are for). However, it was going nowhere and I assume you took it as an easy "out" and just closed it.... Now acting like it was "ruined" when all it takes is a handful of mouse clicks and 30 seconds to fix.

Secondly, how come any time somebody disagrees with you, or in Justvettn's case points out something that he was misinformed about (although he's absolutely correct, the thread only indicated ICON as the only company who had agreed to provide shocks), that your replies are aggressive, condescending, and demeaning, in attempts to belittle people? It's "bully" behavior, and really not necessary.

The guy was going off information provided by you, in the thread in question... Give him a break.

If you read all the post regarding shocks you would realize some of us have done this several times and written about it. I for one had Kings and replaced them with Icons after spending MANY hours and Miles offroad with all but one of the manufactures. (Like I have said many times, if I was FOX I would be so embarrassed that company has to re-valve my shocks to make them right/better) After doing this I picked what I thought was the best shock for a Raptor and not a Trophy Truck. That is the reason I went with Icon.

The fact that you can't see it makes the point.

No. We (moderators) are here to guide, not dictate. Content is king, and we try very hard not to alter it or remove it once posted.

I can only imagine... I go back and clean up, and someone (probably you before we'd had this conversation) would have been screaming bias and unfairness and probably freedom of speech garbage from the top of your lungs.

Nope. This isn't my first rodeo. Its better to hope for and expect that we can behave like adults. And if we can't, especially in a situation like the Shock Shootout would have created, its best to simply cut losses and move on.

However, it was going nowhere and I assume you took it as an easy "out" and just closed it.... Now acting like it was "ruined" when all it takes is a handful of mouse clicks and 30 seconds to fix.
You assume incorrectly. And if you care to push that false assumption, you'll have to call me a liar to do it. You are simply wrong.

Secondly, how come any time somebody disagrees with you
Who's disagreeing with me, and about what? Specific examples, please. In Justvettn's case, we're not disagreeing, he's incorrect. That's very different than what you're implying.

Funny, I would define my request, "Pardon me, but please do not speak on a subject you know nothing about." as direct, but not aggressive, condescending, demeaning or bullying. And if you're referring to my second reply AFTER he continued to defend his incorrect position, again I would say being blunt and direct does not translate to the labels you'd assign me.

The guy was going off information provided by you, in the thread in question... Give him a break.
I did. In a direct and to the point way. Both times.

Oh boy, disected replies... I love these!

The fact that you can't see it makes the point.

I don't see it. I must be stupid. Please explain.

No. We (moderators) are here to guide, not dictate. Content is king, and we try very hard not to alter it or remove it once posted.

Yet, your first knee-jerk reaction is to CLOSE it completely? Talk about IRONY.

I can only imagine... I go back and clean up, and someone (probably you before we'd had this conversation) would have been screaming bias and unfairness and probably freedom of speech garbage from the top of your lungs.

Find one post where I scream "unfairness" or bias... I was actually slammed many times "over there" for doing the very thing you're unwilling to do, in order to keep a topic ON TRACK. That's what moderators are for... this isn't my first rodeo either, my friend.

Nope. This isn't my first rodeo. Its better to hope for and expect that we can behave like adults. And if we can't, especially in a situation like the Shock Shootout would have created, its best to simply cut losses and move on.

It's the internet... how long have you been doing this? I thought people had "tough skin"??

You assume incorrectly. And if you care to push that false assumption, you'll have to call me a liar to do it. You are simply wrong.

Well, to simply shutdown a thread in which MANY hours were invested seems really silly... if you actually cared about the issue at hand and wanted to see it's success, you would simply remove the off-topic posts, or move them to a "new" thread where the bickering could continue... Makes way more sense than just raising the white flag because of a little back and forth exchanges.

Who's disagreeing with me, and about what? Specific examples, please. In Justvettn's case, we're not disagreeing, he's incorrect. That's very different than what you're implying.
I'm talking about any topic on here, in general... you always have a super aggresive "holier than thou" reply, in which the intention seems to be making the other person look stupid. Justvettn made a point, based on the information he had (information from YOUR thread, that you apparently didn't update), and you jumped all over him saying he had no idea what he was talking about.

So the person who's withholding information and updates, gets mad at the people he's supposed to be providing the information to... but never did. You dont' see the problem there?

Funny, I would define my request, "Pardon me, but please do not speak on a subject you know nothing about." as direct, but not aggressive, condescending, demeaning or bullying. And if you're referring to my second reply AFTER he continued to defend his incorrect position, again I would say being blunt and direct does not translate to the labels you'd assign me.

Maybe you just don't see how you come across to people on the receiving end of your EXTREMELY passive-aggresive replies. It's called passive-aggresive for a reason, and YOU define that label.

Sorry we don't agree on things BigJ... I've tried to be nice, cordial, and professional... did my best to introduce myself to you in person, and have always done what I can to maintain a courteous relationship. You've always had a chip on your shoulder towards me (which I'm sure you'll deny) or at least that's how I've "felt" whenever interacting with you.

And although I don't even know Justvettn, when I saw your replies to him, it just really irritated me, and I wanted to call out the BS as I saw it. He made valid points, based on the information he had. Not sure what else you expected.

I'm sure you have your reasons and "explainations" for everything and the ways you responded, but I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree. Maybe we wont' be "BFF's" or have great adventures together... But I'll gladly debate you on topics that I find you're being unreasonable on, and maintain a professional courtesy while doing it (as you have always done in return).
