Don't get me wrong this is interesting but to the average person its more of a dissapointment to see grown men argue like children. I understand each brand has its supporters and thats fine but there is absolutely no need to bicker back and forward.

So about those details and language mattering... I never called him a fool. I said he sounds like a fool by continuing to ignore the facts after they'd been pointed out to him.

If he was doing it on purpose, then my warning is justified. If it was an honest mistake (made a few times), then I've already apologized if my chosen language caused hurt feelings.

I mean seriously Blue, what's your deal? Your reaction seems way out of whack compared to the perceived insult, that wasn't even directed at you. Sup with that?

My comment was made because you specifically are one of the main reasons the whole thing had to be shut down. To have one of the main problem people telling you why it could have been saved? That's the definition of ironic, in my book.

But I think you knew that.

I think what you don't understand (respectfully said) is that there is no second chance with those who were considering contributing big time to our efforts. I literally found myself apologizing for your behavior Blue. You among others, but still... that is NOT a position I enjoy finding myself in.

Sure, we can do it ourselves. We can come up with the $20k-ish in parts and the trucks, we can pay for the shop time ourselves, and for the rebuilds, shipping three or four times, and all the required equipment. Heck, I might even be able to convince Magazine X to still give us some intern to cover the event. But as far as getting corporate help, that ship has sailed.

And then what? If what I saw go down in my thread is any indication, all my very best efforts will yield is more fuel for the flames you (and others with your approach. again said respectfully) like to fan.

Nah, I'm good. I'll sit this one out.

But, again, I strongly encourage you to give it a shot. I'm nobody special. I'm just a dude, who had a clue, and who is easily replaced as the spearhead...

When I was searching for 3.0's and talked to vendors some would push what they were selling and bash the competition, it was so obvious that I was not being lead strait, so when members suggest to people researching shocks to talk to the Vendors I just shake my head.
When I asked BlueSVT for his opinion he did not bash the others but was certainly excited about the Icon's.
ICON used to be bashed and ranked dead last in these discussions not too long ago. Those same people now own them and proudly rank them first, I think that says something.
With that said I am happy for anyone that upgrades to any brand of 3.0's, personally I think they are worth it and if you like your OEM's enjoy them they are the best factory installed shock available.

I specifically want to see an UN biased opinion on fox to icon, your opinion on king to icon does nothing for me, also your bias against fox does nothing for me. Its funny that bluestv mentioned bullying, because that is exactly what the icon guys have been doing on this issue. God forbid anyone mentions that they are happy with their fox shocks and you fellas tear them to shreds. I don't like that at all, how about you take that shit to the z so I don't have to frigen see it. People can have their own opinions and likes without being a **** about it. Its called being an adult.

I have nothing negative to say about Icon, haven't met or dealt with them, but we did just buy some icon lower a arm skids from raptor addict. They looked great, Joe would have preferred the seam sealed, but we would never hold that against them. All these vendors are in SoCal, they don't understand rust. I told Joe to hit it with some kind of sealant..he laughed, but I was serious.

I'm genuinely interested in a real un biased comparison but the jerky comments and attacks sure put a bad taste in my mouth. Liking the jerky comments has the same effect by the way.

And I really don't care what anyone has to say back to me... This shit is already sloppy and as long as you continue to bully and attack no one will be allowed to get to the truth.

So now I am a “****” and a “Bully”. Wow never saw that coming. I really suggest you educate yourself about topics before you start talking shit. People have asked for opinions and I have given them. I have written pros and cons about all the shocks. Do I like the Fox shocks, no. Are they an improvement over stock, yes. Are there better shocks out there, yes. (King and Icon in my opinion).

I also have never bullied anybody on here and find that comment very disrespectful and to call me a ****. I will just leave that one alone because I have never been the type to hide behind my keyboard and fight with people.
You are right about one thing, this whole shock issue is a mess. There will never be an unbiased test performed. All the trucks that run these suspension have different mods to perform the way the owner wants. Therefore, to get stock trucks and swap out suspension in the desert is not a reality.

I spend many hours and miles in my truck using it for what it is designed for and also push it far beyond what it designed for. Therefore I feel I may be able to offer some help to people who ask/need it. If you have X shock on your truck and it works for you good. But then don’t ask for an opinion and get offended when someone doesn’t like your X shocks. You asked for an unbiased report between the brands and then say mine between Icon and King means nothing to you. Maybe to somebody else it did. For most people out there spending $5,000 on a set of shocks is a huge investment and they are looking for input.

I ran the Kings on my truck for over a year. When I started seeing what was available out there I started to consider switching. I rode in and drove all three brands and decided to switch to Icon. If I didn’t think they were superior, do you really think I would drop $5,000 for a second time? What more of an unbiased opinion do you want?

You had to appologize for other members behavior... on the internet?

You could have easily deleted everythign in one swoop, and should have if that was the case.

Sorry it got out of hand, and sorry that my posts were a part of that. I debated going back and deleting my post, but it was too late at that point... like you said, the ship had sailed!
