On my Gen 2 with 3.0s, I smashed the ground and skid plate quite a lot, until I put on 37s. I'm not super keen on losing an inch of travel on the front. Wondering if you have any plans to add a tophat to a 3.0 coilover to increase length and allow for the clearance needed for gen 3s with 37s. ;)
I certainly would like to. You’d end up with a truck with 15” of travel both front and back which would be pretty cool.

You mean max out preload on the 3.0’s (2”) and add another inch with collar?that sounds like it would eff the lower control arm angle / handling.

Ideal would be make the aluminum bit that runs from the bottom of the shock shaft to the LCA longer. Wouldn’t have to touch preload other than to get a specific ride height. The gen 2 FRS shocks are something like 1.36” shorter extended while having 0.6” more stroke than a stock gen 3 35 shock. So the extended length of the gen 2 FRS shocks would need to be made 1.36” longer. This could potentially also be done with a spacer between the top of the shock and the shock bucket, but that’s not quite as ideal. Clearance would be tight with 37s, but don’t know until trying.

This is a great explanation of the difference the LV system works in actual RACE applications. It frees the driver to concentrate on spectators being too close and trying to see through the dust, rather than picking a line to avoid big holes. It also acts like a swaybar in the turns and settles the truck faster than conventional shocks.
Need to find the dummies on here who keep saying LV is a gimmick
