Fox Factory Race Series

Fox has been trying to buy up companies with synergies to the Offroad shocks. Suspect those UCAs are from a company they recently acquired.

It’s interesting to me that Fox decided to brand it as their own instead of leave it as Baja Kits. In the mountain bike world, which is something I’m extremely familiar with, Fox owns two well known component brands. I can’t think of any products those brands have historically made that have been sold with Fox branding. Maybe they thought the Baja Kits branding wouldn’t resonate with consumers as much. Who knows.

On my 23 R, I decided to add Foutz air bumps on all 4 corners with Foutz UCA at the same time as I swap the shocks for the race series.
May have to swap resevoir lines to fit it all in. Sounds like Fox has optional longer hoses but won't know if needed until we get into it.
Keeping it stock width, stock fenders, stock real beadlocks, stock 37's. So I think within those constraints this is about as far as I can take it.
BTW, I have the Borla exhaust on it and it sounds glorious!

Front:
- Length is the same
- 37PP stroke is the same
- 35 stroke is 0.4" larger
- This gives you about 13" of travel regardless of what truck you put it on because the shock stroke sets travel in the front.

Rear:
- Length is about 31.75" on shocks I have measured
- Stroke seems to be 0.1" less than 35 shocks
- Stroke is 1" larger than 37 shocks
- Note that on the rear, travel is set by the bump stop location. Whether or not there will be any difference in travel is hard to say. While they stock shocks have a 0.5" shorter static length, they have rubber bushings that will effectively extend the shock beyond the static length in certain scenarios. If I had to guess it would be about 0.5" more travel when both wheels go to full droop but effectively the same travel when flexing.

Thanks taquitos. Im not exactly sure what youre comparing to in your descriptions above? The prior gen? The fox 3.0 or 3.2s?

Comparing to the 3.2s. The front gen 2 aftermarket shocks have significantly more stroke than any gen 3 shocks and are shorter. I suspect they are behind all the bent LCA tabs from scraping the ground.

On my Gen 2 with 3.0s, I smashed the ground and skid plate quite a lot, until I put on 37s. I'm not super keen on losing an inch of travel on the front. Wondering if you have any plans to add a tophat to a 3.0 coilover to increase length and allow for the clearance needed for gen 3s with 37s.
