How? If the live wire tech is not open source?
The solenoid is just moves a chunk of metal that is a needle valve more or less. If you replicate the valve then you could use the same solenoid. I’m pretty sure it’s just sending a PWM signal to the solenoids so it’s not like the solenoid has smarts preventing you from wiring in your own solenoid either.

How would I know, just what their sales rep told me. I personally think Live Valve sucks, so good if it is foregone.
17 MY to 19 MY was a huge difference in offroad performance thanks to live valve. the 24 dual valve is an improvement except for front end stiffness when comparing MY19 with FRS upgrades. 24MY truck handles great on and offroad. definitely not a gimmick and is great for a do it all vehicle

It’s a total gimmick. I far prefer the feel, off-road and on, of a properly dialed in set of Kings or Icons.

because you "prefer" something doesn't mean the other option is a gimmick. i dont know how a dialed set of kings could be "dialed" in for on road and offroad use at the same time. if that was the case there would be no dialing required. live valve is the perfect solution to the raptor line. do it all adjustable suspension on a factory truck. and FRS is an stiffer setup with resis to improve offroad ability

I never said what was good for one was good for all.

Check out a Fox Live Valve-equipped Trophy Truck at full kill:

It's also  AWD, with 1100hp & 40's, but at this speed; human reaction times just
aren't fast enough and the Live Valve system (or similar electronic devices) are the future.

If its a gimmick in the Raptor, then I suppose all adaptive/electrically adjustable suspension is a gimmick? I sure like being able to adjust it from the steering wheel for different situations in all the cars I've owned with electronic adjustable suspension. 100% needed...not really...another failure point...possibly, but for 80-120K it damn sure better have something adjustable on the fly.

This is a great explanation of the difference the LV system works in actual RACE applications. It frees the driver to concentrate on spectators being too close and trying to see through the dust, rather than picking a line to avoid big holes. It also acts like a swaybar in the turns and settles the truck faster than conventional shocks.
