Looking at a complete set of these (not the quick adjust bypass model) Fox 3.0 Factory series shocks I don't do much off roading. I am looking for a softer on road ride. Looking for comments from those that have put these on there truck. I am trying to get the ride my son's 18 Gen 2 has. I currently have a set of gen 2 3.0's on the rear with deaver +3's and a rebuilt set of stock 2.5 with Gesier progressive springs. Is there something else I should look at? I can get the complete set for $4400.00 I really can't afford much more. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have them on my Gen 2. Love them, I got them because the factory OEM would fade on me and with the 3.0's allow me to hit everything faster and for longer.

As for ride, you can soften them up quit a bit... but I wouldn't do it for the price.. factory is pretty soft in my opinion

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

What is the best price can we get on those 3.0 at this moment? My 2.5 are probably due for rebuild very soon. Time for 3.0 upgrade!

Are you looking for the "Quick Adjust Bypass" ?

Yes, better to be adjustable. Most my drivings are in the city, want a soft and comfortable ride in the city. I assume when dailed right, 3.0 will be more comfortable than 2.5, right? I am running 2.5 with progressive spring on bottom perch and rear has deaver +2 right now.

DO NOT Purchase the 3.0 suspension for a better ride. I just installed them on my Gen 1 and they ride stiffer and they are noisy and loud. I only have 50k on my Gen 1 and it is in show condition and never off roaded. The fronts sound worse then another truck I have with 300k on the original suspension and the rears sound like loose marbles inside a can. I have had them torqued to spec twice and they are awful.

I believe they are supposed to sound like that. high performance offroad shocks sound like that as the shock dampens at different levels

Get the 3.0s! They're awesome! Whenever I hear them it makes me smile. Makes me realize that my shit is legit. Don't listen to the nonsense from people who complain about the noise! You don't complain when your bed squeaks while banging! just get them. I think the ride is better on road. My stock shocks were obviously softer but these 3.0s make speed bumps and pot holes their bitch. They f*ck!196260bdb2f5902945c6f4fa61c15e69.jpg
