That's pretty much exactly what I was wondering. Thanks for the info. My biggest concern with the fake engine noise was having it laid over the radio. Sounds like a worthwhile mod.

Thanks for the info, how did you get yours turned off?

Dealer can turn off engine sound via IDS tool, had it done prior to pickup

So I did mine this morning! Very easy as long as you read up a bit and take your time.

Here's what I did:

Added auto fold mirrors (Lincoln Style)
Added temp values above engine/trans gauges
Added Heat/cool seat & HSW to Sync home and climate screens
Disabled double honk
Global Windows Up/Down (only front windows work on our trucks)
Enabled Secure Idle
Changed Panic button on remote to now require two presses

On the fence about disabling the cabin engine noise as I kinda like it... it think.

How did you figure out where to go make all these changes? Any hope you can post your notes for us?

Man I wish I felt comfortable and had the patience to do this.

I'd love to have a few of these things set up.
I didn't feel comfortable at all either. But if you do take your time and read through the entire post like I did,it is very simple to do and so so worth it!

I cannot take any credit for this as one of the members Livnitup of the F150 Forum has spent countless hours on making this possible for us! I'm more than willing to answer questions if I can or at least point anyone in the right direction.

What he said^^^

That link has everything you need to get the job done. Just read the initial post thoroughly before doing anything. The attached spreadsheet shows all the modifications and how to do them. Again, read the spreadsheet thoroughly. It's really pretty simple once you get the concept.

No. Each change you make requires you to "write it" to the truck's system. Once that happens you can unplug and the change remains.
