I'm not a hero, but I did sleep at a holiday inn last night.

So what I think you did was:

But what you want is:

So when you get into the BCM/726 module check that 45-01 module as well as the 50-01 module. I'm not with my truck unfortunately so I can't tell you the default values of the 45-01 module unfortunately. This may be a case where you should load the 'as built' data you backed up initially so you don't accidentally brick that module.

Last note, the 'DRL parking lights only' only work when the truck is in gear so to test, put the truck in neutral and with the parking brake on (on level ground obviously) so you can run around front and check your work. The forscan gooogle doc also mentions that there is a setting in the infotainment that needs to be checked for it to work (its been so long I don't recall doing this but I'm sure I did).

Hope this helps!

It is helpful... However, I'm thinking I will go pull the as built from the site and start from scratch. I'm such a monkey on the keyboard I saved over my as built... I think.

My best advice to use is to stop using the "easy" version of forscan and only do the line by line coding and adjustments like you used to. The narrative or descriptive mode is known to be kinda buggy and much less reliable in getting ONLY the exact changes you want.

I could never get my DRLs sorted after the previous owner went in and made a lot of forescan changes, no matter what i changed it wouldn't turn off the low beams in addition to whatever was selected. I eventually went in and manually rewrote every single line from my truck's asbuilt report to get the DRLs back to stock then i tweaked them from there to get the setup exactly how i wanted.

Good luck! Its frustrating and time consuming but you'll know exactly what you've got if you do it that way.
