Hey Liv, I got a question for ya. Have you come across anything in forscan that let's you adjust the "volume" of the fake engine sound? Here's why I ask - smurfslayer recently posted that turning off the fake engine sound via forscan made the car just a bit noisier, i.e., the fake engine noise must also serve a noise cancelling function.
So, is there a way to turn up the noise cancellation? I don't care about exhaust noise, I will take a quieter cabin if possible.

So I finally got a chance to sit down and take a crack at forscan. I have to say, a huge thank you goes out to Livnitup for the unbelievable spreadsheet and tutorials. As I tell my mechanic, "it's so easy even a pilot can do it!" I have to say I was quite queasy about the whole 'changing the truck's computer programming' and the ramifications of ******** it up, but it was painless.
When I was done (for now) the double honk was gone, along with the driver's side seatbelt minder and the fake engine noise. I also added the engine and transmission temperatures over the display.
I took the truck out for a short drive after removing the fake engine noise and I don't mind the loss of the fake engine noise. I did notice increased wind noise (not bad, but noticeable) and a lot more tire noise inside the cab at highway speeds. I just read the last post about changing the "0" to a "1" and possibly getting more noise cancelling inside the truck from that. I will try that out and see if it makes a difference. For now I'm leaving the fake noise off and trying it for a bit to see if I prefer it. My initial reaction is to put the fake engine noise back, to reduce the tire noise. Either way, its an easy fix with Forscan.
One other thing I tried out before I did any Forscan changes was to start the vehicle, remove the key FOB and get back in and try to put the vehicle back in gear and drive away. When I put my foot on the brake and tried to take the shift lever out of park I got a "no key detected" warning on the console and the shift lever would not move out of park. I see there is a forscan code to do this, but it appears the 2018's don't need that done as they are already programmed that way. I did not take a look at the forscan code in the "as built" section of my vehicle to see what the numbers are, but when I get my computer hooked back up I will see what my "as built" numbers are and report back. Here's a picture of what I got:
