For the last week or so I've been working on mapping out the remaining addresses/values in the BCM and am about 90-95% finished. If anyone is interested here's the direct link to that spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uDSQ1Z5a2Wt8-kjrSiVSlDFGFHnfeuhb3RTMVz95730/edit#gid=0

Thanks for the continued support Liv.

  • If there are more than one of a particular address, what does that mean? I see several 726-19-01s for instance.
  • 726-17-01 - global opens... what does setting those to enabled do?

Wherever you see the 1-5 like the example below it's for the # of keys/fobs programmed to the vehicle (each fob can have different abilities for those specific features)
726-17-01 x*xx xxxx xxxx Feature Cfg Global Close1: 0=disabled, 1=enabled
726-17-01 **** xxxx xxxx Feature Cfg Global Close2: 0=disabled, 1=enabled
726-17-01 xxxx x*xx xxxx Feature Cfg Global Close3: 0=disabled, 1=enabled
726-17-01 xxxx **** xxxx Feature Cfg Global Close4: 0=disabled, 1=enabled
726-17-01 xxxx xxxx x*xx Feature Cfg Global Close5: 0=disabled, 1=enabled

ah, I see. Are the fobs marked as # 1 or # 2? Or do I always just change the first two lines to be sure that both my fobs are programmed that way.

And this global open / close is still limited only to front windows correct? No sunroof or rear privacy window?

Fobs aren't marked so either do 1&2 or all 5. I usually do all 5 even though I have 3 keys since the format of "0101 0101 01xx" is easy to remember and do in one shot. Global open/close limited to front windows, no sunroof, no privacy window.

Hey Livnitup - I use the Forscan trick to turn off engine stop/start (think it tells the computer I have a subwoofer installed)

Any issues if I actually add a sub later ie should I revert to factory settings then add the sub, or am I overthinking this

If you disabled stop/start with the change in BCM, that doesn't tell the truck you have a subwoofer. Subwoofer info is in the ACM module so you should be fine adding one later and leaving stop/start disable setting alone.

Correct, I did it via the BCM

I think in another stop/start thread, people were guessing that this told the truck a sub was installed

So this BCM change is a true switch for the auto start/stop, nothing more ... ie it's not telling the truck something else and as a result, the truck turns off auto start/stop

No, it's actually setting the BMS (battery monitoring system) feature below to absent that has the effect of not letting start/stop work but not a native value to disable it.
726-48-02 x*xx xxxx xxxx Slave Exists BMS Cfg: 0=absent, 1=present

Any way to make start/stop disabled by default via Forscan?

Meaning, the truck starts and start/stop is disabled and the button is illuminated as off, and if you push it, it will activate it for the duration of the drive. Once restarted it will default back to off.

I was hoping there is a way to do this without having to physically use a jumper wire behind the switch or tricking the system to disable start/stop as a result of modifying some other code that relates to it.

I'd like it defaulted to off, but ensure the button still has full functionality and proper illumination (and without messages that populate on the cluster related to charging etc).

Thanks for all of your help! :hail:
