Thanks... So to get mine to use the parking lights only as DRL's in it's current state do I need to do just this?

726-26-02 x1xx xxxx xxxx (think this is already done in my vehicles condition?)

and then I also need to do this?

726-50-01: XXxx

Just don't want to screw anything up. I am familiar with FORScan but still makes me nervous unless I know EXACTLY what to do when programming. Thanks!
You'll need to set both of these (your truck won't have either already set this way)
726-26-02 x1xx xxxx ***
726-50-01: 01xx

so what does the xx7F do in the 726-50-01?

726-45-01 xxxx 7Fxx xxxx - Allow all DRL choices

If the 7F there isn't set, then FORScan will give an "incompatible configuration" error when trying to write any of the following:
726-50-01 0280 DRL - low beams
726-50-01 0482 DRL - front fog lamps
726-50-01 0886 DRL - front turn lamps
726-50-01 209E DRL - high beams
726-50-01 40BE DRL - Low Beams and Dedicated DRL

I've edited my spreadsheet here to make the DRL choices clearer: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...iVSlDFGFHnfeuhb3RTMVz95730/edit#gid=815852466

Sorry, I misread what you wrote. the 7F you're referring to is the checksum (the last 2 digits of any address are the checksum which is just a mathematical sum of all the prior hex digits in an address). FORScan will compute this automatically so you don't need to know anything other than to ignore the last 2 digits of any address lol.

Example:
If you tried to write 726-50-01 0199 FORScan would tell you there's a checksum error but just click continue and FORScan will automatically change that 99 to 7F.

Just parking lights as DRL. If you want both low beams & parking lights as DRL just make this change:
726-26-02 x1xx xxxx xxxx

For only parking lights as DRL just do the following (I edited my other post):
726-26-02 x1xx xxxx xxxx
726-50-01 017F

I used this one, and was just curious why this is changed to 762-50-01 xx7F. I think (like a ******* I didn't write it down) it was 0000 to start, and you only use the first two places with this new way. Just another way around the barn?

Great info and thanks Livinitup! You are a great asset to the community =)

Do you have to have 802a for auto-reverse side mirrors to work?

Got my parking lights set for DRL's now... There isn't a way to do just the front end (and not the taillights and license plate lights are there?

How important is it to save the original files?

I would think very important. I started from scratch today and the longest part of the forescan work was the backup.
A great big thank you to all the work livnitup has put into this, it all worked just how the write up's said it should thanks again.
