I just want to confirm, but are all of the FORScan changes done with the key in the "Accessory" key position (truck is not running)? I tried to create a "Stock" file so I could install a tune, and I appear to be having an inconsistent power issue in the "Accessory" key position. I was able to successfully make a few FORSCan changes, but it was also failing in the "Accessory" key position and I had to have the engine running in order to prevent the communication failure issues. I wonder if I have a bad PCM or something else going on. The truck is only two weeks old. Everything else seems to be working okay. It has been a long time and I can't remember exactly what I did on my 2017, but I think I am doing everything the same, but just not having success on my 2019.Anyone who is in southwest Ohio (Dayton area), and needs help with Forscan, I can help, I also have an IDS, programming or un-doing a mistake is no issue.
Key on, engine off, I recommend a battery charger set at 10amps while doing programming, I had the same issue on my truck, low or not enough voltage.
Additionally, there may be some modules that are not accessible on a 19.

Thanks for the response. Just so I am clear, connecting a battery charger directly to the battery could fix my issue? Do you need to leave it attached for a period of time before doing the programming? I am confused as to why this would help since my battery is brand new and appears to be fully charged. I am reportedly loosing power/connectivity less than 30 seconds into the programming. I never had this issue on my 2017.
Although I don't recommend it in the tutorial, you can do FORScan programming with the engine running and that should alleviate your issue. A few years ago in the SoCal summer when I was testing values in the 110 degree heat in my truck, I had the truck running and A/C on and made hundreds of writes to various modules without issue. If you were doing firmware flashing then that's a different story and you would need the truck off and have the battery charger connected but for simple programming you can just have the engine running if FORScan is complaining about the voltage.

I've done FORScan changes both ways. I was thinking about the same thing yesterday when updating my SYNC3 from v2.3 to v3.0. Ford says to have the truck running for that...and wondered if it even mattered as long as my battery was strong. ??
