Those are my thoughts exactly! One of the dealers showed me the Build sheet which reflected the dealer's cost and MSRP. They make $5k selling it at MSRP, plus their $499!-$650 D&H fees to make their minimum of that on each vehicle sold! Marking them up $10k -$30k in California is absurd! I'd do $5k, even at that, that's almost $11k profit on one sale!

LOL!!! I had a 87 GN and wanted a GNX and my dealer was selling theirs for $10k over. I wish I bought it!!!

Now you’re dating yourself!
In ’86 I was working as a porter at a grocery store - I was 15 ok :flipthebird:

A Buick sales guy came out, and had a GN. We struck up a conversation. He took me for a spin while I was on my break and it was seductively quick.

I did manage to sock away some money, but not enough. I ended up buying a ’70 442.

I just bought a 17 GT350R last week. The dealer was asking $25k over MSRP. I got them down to $3,000 over MSRP. Just need to work these dealers.

I guess thanks for propping up the economy...
I’ve got bikes to go fast. Truthfully, I was going to build up a Ninja H2 but I have 2 others that are fast and a third would have to displace something in my garage. That, and I really need something that doesn’t give my wife fits if I need her to drive, so any non-automatic transmission is ruled out on that criteria for me. It’s a mixed blessing to have her able to drive. Most of the time she plods along in the slow lane sometimes letting herself follow some cell yakking turtle to 10 under or more, but I caught her out once in my lightning in CT. I was snoozing in the passenger seat when I woke hearing blower whine. that’s strange, you don’t usually hear that until... I peer over and we’re doing 90+ on I95. I quipped “95 is the interstate number, not the speed limit”. I miss the Lightning sometimes.

maybe some of us will have a new truck to talk about in Q1 2017.

LMAO I'm only 2 years older than you. I bought my GN when I was 17. I keep looking for a deal on a GNX. I just sold my last 87 GN a few years ago. Great cars!!! This one was a 87 with 9,000 original miles and won 1st place for the Mid Atlantic. fa0d13d061441f47ddc45d74a7b36587.jpg

Jakester, I wouldn't call us suckers. We knew exactly what we were doing and agreed to pay the addendum. After 200+ car purchases most at deals you will never see, I knew what I was doing. Maybe up there in Oh Canada! things are different but in south Florida they are just NOT available yet for anything less than 5-10k over. I could've gone out of state, paid a grand or more in shipping, so all in all my net is 2k over or less. I think I did well for our market.

That said, we've all seen your pics a million times. No need to keep posting the same pics especially when you are no longer the sole owner of a gen 2 raptor. I other words. No need to keep rubbing your BS in everyone's faces. If you have nothing useful for us then please refrain from your Childish posts.

Or you could be like Jake, work for the auto manufacturer up in Ontario, order a stripped down build, use an employee discount and brag about how he's a master negotiator

How dare dealers make more profit...losers. I think everyone that complains about ADM should never accept a deal below MSRP. I've paid ADM a couple times but 99% of the time I well under MSRP so I'd say I'm ahead. I never get mad at someone for trying to make a buck. I'm aware of what things are worth and what I'm willing to pay for a toy. Sometimes something is worth a little extra to get it right now. Sometimes it's not. There are enough people in SoCal willing to pay $10,000-$15,000 to have one of the first Raptors. Why wouldn't a dealer capitalize on that?
