I use Aux4 for my Rigid amber dually floods and no issues but those don't draw hardly anything.

I had originally thought this as well.My understanding of this issue is that fuse 28 overheats if you use Aux 4(fuse 27). Has anyone had this issue that was not using aux 4? I don't have the relocation kit so I have avoided using aux 4 for now.
So I picked up the kit from Tasca, and I'm wondering how many of you guys have just gone ahead and installed it without any prior issues?
I've made long road trips to Maine and Kansas, and somehow survived 2 brutal florida summers. Is it worth replacing if it hasn't shit the bed yet? Is there a mileage trend where it normally malfunctions?

@bigred1097 had a few kits as well. No one had any issues that I had heard of.I got mine from Tasca too and already had it done without any prior issues. I leaned on the side of better now than later.
I know @t_j purchased some extra kits for snoball in case anyone ran into trouble. Did anyone end up having an issue and he was able to help out?
Thanks for sharing the story. Same happened to me.K, so I use my truck primarily for oilfield work. Last shift at work, I am driving along on lease road, come around a right corner, start accelerating and without any warning or signs of a problem, the truck shuts completely down...gone, coasting to side of the road. I try a few things, disconnect battery to reset comp, nothing... engine cranks, but zero signs of life. Call for co-worker to come help (70 km away) call dealer talk to service , no help, call Ford Roadside, try to explain that I am in the middle of freakin' nowhere and they will not find me, blah, blah, blah. By the time buddy arrives to help, surprisingly, it fires up and off I go. I will add here that I am SO glad this happened out in the bush somewhere, rather than when I am in a high risk busy traffic situation where things could end very badly in a hurry when the truck decides to randomly shut down while driving...scary.
I make a plan to take it to the dealer and when I pull up at fuel tanks at work for fill up, I go to start back up, truck cranks forever and will not fire. This time I have to have a coworker pull me 40 km to the nearest pavement, Ford sends a tow truck, take it to nearest dealer (2 hours away) and find out what the problem is. GIGANTIC hassle, lose a day of charging truck rate, but I am getting it done. Call from dealer next day, and the problem is........a fuse. Apparently a single fuse covers the fuel pump and injectors and mine overheated and cooked the fuse, rendering the entire truck a useless hunk of metal. They are suggesting a "fuse relocation kit"because the fuse gets too hot in the factory location and I will have to pay $180 for the relocate. For flip sakes, what a PITA this was and sucks Ford won't cover this...serious safety issue in my opinion. If the truck shut down again at the wrong time, could be very bad.
Anyhow, my main reason for the post (hope it's not a dupe) is to make you other owners aware of this potential issue. I dont have a pic of the fusebox, because I fly to and from work and leave the truck behind, but if someone can grab a pic of their fusebox, I will show you which one took me down.
