So I picked up the kit from Tasca, and I'm wondering how many of you guys have just gone ahead and installed it without any prior issues?

I've made long road trips to Maine and Kansas, and somehow survived 2 brutal florida summers. Is it worth replacing if it hasn't shit the bed yet? Is there a mileage trend where it normally malfunctions?

If you have the capability to change it out on the road, then let it ride. But if not, I'd change it now.

Well I carry enough tools in my bed to do a full engine swap lol, so I guess I'll let it ride for now then. Thanks!
The biggest thing is recognizing the symptoms when it happens.

My truck started what seemed like "missing" as I would climb hills. Once it got worse it would stall. No power... So you coast to a stop (good luck if its on a highway, no power steering isn't fun).

When you try to restart it, it simply cranks and cranks, but no start. Check your fuse 27. If the fuse holder isn't melted, you can install a new 20 amp fuse and get it down the road. Then install the kit next chance you get.

So I now have the kit on hand. As asked already is this something to just do as a preventative? Is Ford recommending it like a TSB? And how hard is this repair?

with the possibility that could go wrong I'd change it asap, with that said I still have to change mine.

Me too, kit in hand but no free time to change it. I'm actually on the fence fooling with it as I have zero signs of any overheating (knock wood.)

If you have it just do it, unless you have a heat gun and soldering iron in the truck that you can power without the truck running.

My understanding of this issue is that fuse 28 overheats if you use Aux 4(fuse 27). Has anyone had this issue that was not using aux 4? I don't have the relocation kit so I have avoided using aux 4 for now.

I have used my Aux 4 switch for my 3000 lumen Dust/Snow light and don't have a problem with it affecting any other fuses so not sure if that is related to the fuel pump fuse issue
