Could anyone describe what a lap is like? I read somewhere about the trucks being broken into groups each with a chase truck. Is this true? How many trucks? How much space is between the trucks? In track driving there are people in the corners with signal flags. How do we know if a truck is spun out or sitting on the track around a blind corner? How long are the laps? Do you typically just keep going around or can your group take a break every couple laps? How much gas do the trucks use? If I come topped off will I be able to run the day and still get back to a gas station? Is there a central area where we can put up tents and keep drinks, etc? A lot of questions, Sorry,

Laps are like 10 plus miles
Groups would be on Sunday
The spacing between the truck is based on skill just tell mark or Jason when they stage you
The track is very well marked off
You shouldn't run out of gas on full but bring a can as spare
the stage area is great for hanging out you can take as long as you want between runs

Havoc in the Hills isnt a Group event. The Group # was for your skill level There is no lead or chase truck. We highly suggest taking a couple laps at a leisurely pace to get comfortable with the track and your truck.

The space between each truck is dependent on skill level.

These times are a rough idea
a Class 1 driver then a class 3- about 30 seconds at the start
Class 3 then a class 1- about 2 minutes

Each truck will take one lap then get back into the staging line when ready to go out again.

There isn't anyone marking corners as there are alot of them. Be prepared to possible hazards at all times.

Course Length is dependent on what Day it is. Between 5 and 12 miles roughly.

Gas Station is about 5 miles away. If you get down to a 1/4 tank I would suggest filling up. DO NOT go out on course if your Miles till empty is less than 50. It will drop from 50 to 35 to 21 to 7 to 4 really fast. Trust me I know.

Yes there is a very large staging area with food, Portajohns, vendors etc.
