Ford Perimeter Plus opinion

There’s been a few recent posts regarding the Ford Perimeter Plus. I have the 802A tech package with remote start on my 2018.

Does this OEM product just add the impact detection?
How well does this work?

It’s interesting that Ford doesn’t include it.

yes, it just adds the impact sensor. I have this along with the bajamod bracket and if I arm the alarm and slap the front windshield the alarm sounds. I forget how sensitive I have it set, but it's just a little added security. my remote start works as normal after install.

Did you have to change anything with forscan? Are there any related forscan settings to play with?

Someone who is installing the Perimeter Plus components and the LED light... please document a DIY. I think this will be a popular mod considering the door security issues.

Agree, as I am about a month from this install, I have my lights coming first:
