How does Ford know that this was installed on a vehicle?
When you send in your ecm read file(part of the process) that specific file is used to create your calibration (so to speak). Your calibration is also saved on fords server to insure there are no issues with future over the air or other types of updates. The same goes for Whipple calibrations for Ford vehicles.

Interested in this option as I have a 2023 and cannot do the goosetune. Can you do the Burger tune on top of this tune or does it not work like that? I guess my real question is if it is possible to get the transmission tune from FP and then additonally more HP gain from the Burger?

I don’t see why that wouldn’t work. With the FP tune, you still have for all intents and purposes a “stock” truck.

This is not a good idea. The Burger “tuner” is not a Calibration at all. The device manipulates data going into the ecu to increase power. All of the “map” settings are based on the factory calibration. If that calibration is changed, the burger could create a situation that can result in catastrophic engine damage (and it would not be the fault of their device). I don’t recommend playing “electronic chemistry” set with devices and calibrations. It’s best to pick a lane…

Just did mine today. It's noticable, and I'm happy with it. It's not going to make you say holy shit, but the truck does feel more responsive. The transmission is much better, and what's most noticable with the tune. The money was worth it for that alone and for the $700, I'd recommend it if you're on the fence.
