I feel like people that say, getting it for the trans tune, just don't want to be lumped in with the other crowd, buying it for the hp tq , would u still buy if it was just a trans tune and gave u zero hp or tq ?

Yes. I hated how the trans was before. I still think the hp and tq numbers, compared to the bronco and ranger tune are shit, but at $700, the bump in power and the trans tune was worth it for me. I was on the fence for this or the Cobb redline intake. With the Cobb at over $700, to me its better money spent.

Been slowly leaning towards this one simply due to it being a Ford tune. Feel like unless I send 5 rods into orbit most powertrain stuff shouldn't be too picky at the dealer I go to. Don't hate the transmission shifting on my truck, but if there's improvement I'm interested.

I too purchased the FP tune, I have a 23 and wasn't interested in the Whipple kit. Personally I didn't think 98% of the transmission shifts were bad before the tune but its a noticeable upgrade, I really like it. For me the power seems to come on much quicker with less pedal input. The installation was extremely easy and its reversible. A couple of things to note:

1) If you live in a tight community and had "Quiet Start" enabled, it reverts back to off after the tune...sorry about this morning neighbors!
2) EDITED** My radio seems to stay on after I shut the truck off and open the door, only for a few seconds, but its definitely a glitch. After I close the door I can hear the radio eventually shut off. It didn't do that before, ever.

Mine does number 2 and I don’t have the tune. It’s gotta be the new update.
