I have seen two posts on one of the Raptor FB groups about the Ford Performance Calibration (tune).
Both have been very complimentary of the upgrade. One guy had a JB4 prior and likes the FP tune better. Mostly, for the transmission strategy upgrade.
I may do this calibration, as I was a huge fan of the MPT tune on my 2020 Gen2, mostly for the transmission strategy. Yes, the HP was nice... but when I traded the truck and removed the tune, I hated how the truck shifted.
The post talked about how much lighter and more nimble the truck felt.
l know there is not much total gain at the top, but there is a nice TQ bump down low. Also, look at the area above the stock curve for both HP and TQ... there is quite a bit.

Why not get a JB4 tune? They say it adds 100hp/120lb ft tq and "Installation is very discrete and unlike flash remaps it quickly removes without a trace when needed. "

the jb4 is nowhere close to those power levels ,without ethanol

I posted earlier on this. I called Ford Performance, and they said they didn't know. They also said to call Ford ESP.

So then I called Ford ESP and after being transfered around at least 3 times, I was told that ANYTHING aftermarket (did not come with the truck from factory), that lead to a failure, would not be covered. So if this tune caused the failure they believed it would not be covered.

I asked my dealer, for what it's worth (a dealership that does a ton of modding and upgrades to vehicles) and they said they've never seen Ford ESP deny a claim on a Ford Performance upgraded (tuned, etc) vehicle.

So it seems like a mild gamble to me. Ford ESP and your dealer would have to determine that the failure was a result of the tune. But if that's their decision (and even if they're wrong), they have more lawyers and money than most of us.
My dealer told me the same thing, anything that wasn’t originally outlined in the contract/extended warranty provisions would technically be an aftermarket add-on, and nullify the warranty

Calling myself out. I called two dealers Friday to see how much of a hosing install would be. One referred me to their “quick lane” dept that does all their installs. So I said no to that.

The second never got back to me. FP really not doing a good job in the marketing of this to get us willing to buy.

For those considering installing this themselves… this is straight from the horses mouth (the FTC https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/businesspersons-guide-federal-warranty-law). Pretty much you can’t be compelled to pay a dealer to install it unless they have a waiver from the FTC where they have proved a dealer install is necessary for it to work right. I think that would be very hard to prove. Beyond that, a dealer install can only be required if it’s for free. This is to prevent price gouging using your warranty as a bargaining chip.

I went ahead and got it. Easy install. No dealer needed nothing special on install.

Slight difference in the feel, best way for me to describe it is that it smooths out the trucks performance. No huge difference but to me it was worth it. Not going to go crazy on it and will do until Cobb and Goosetuned are able to work their magic.
