Fair points, but it seems like the gist of it is that the dealers who are talking big mark ups at this point are either uninformed or they think they smell blood in the water.

The dealer I talked to says they'll sell it at sticker. No mark up but no discount. I don't know if they'll change their mind once they realize that other dealers will treat it just like any other order.

Production is said to beat the 2014 numbers, which were the highest numbers produced out of any model year. How many specifically, no one knows.

Funny how you have to nick-pick what an option is. Anything above F-150 XL is an option.

But thanks for confirming that the Gen2 will be produced in greater numbers than the 2014, just like I already said a few posts ago.

I have contacted four Ford dealerships across the United States asking if any of them would order me a 2017 Raptor Supercrew at invoice. One dealership which is closest to me stated the following:

"To purchase this vehicle via order or when they arrive there will be a mark up over MSRP just like there was last time. We would not be able to do one at or near invoice."

This dealership has always been the scum of Ford and I would never do business there, just thought I would see what their response would be.

The second dealership said he would put me on his list and would contact me once he knew more.

The third dealership said he would order me one at invoice.

The fourth dealership said he would order me one at invoice + 50 dollars.

I have no problem sharing the salesman names, just want to see if they hold true to their word. If I am successful in placing my order I will pass along the info. The only thing keeping me from ordering one is if the price is 60K+. I am hoping invoice is around 50-52K for a Supercrew.

My local Ford said MSRP. I didnt really hound them or negotiate any, Ill do that when its closer to ordering. I have a couple other options and a "price match guarantee" from my local dealer so we will see how all that plays out when I put dealer prices against each other.

I'm curious as well how the local dealerships will handle orders. I have a dealer about 3 or 4 Ford dealers within 10 miles. The list in an earlier post lists a dealer in Escondido which isn't far and another one in El Cajon which is about an hour and a half away.

The new truck is supposed to be under the "Ford Performance" umbrella, which has replaced SVT. Jamal said its now called the "Ford Performance F150 Raptor" if I remember correctly. If it has a red window sticker then we will know for sure. Ford produces as many as they get orders for but there is no set number. It's not a limited production vehicle, meaning they aren't going to stop making them once they hit a number.

Couldn't the same be said about the Gen 1 Raptor? Everyone that wanted to buy one did. Only restrictions I saw was in allocation. But even then, people went else were.

Don't count on that. The 2014 fully loaded was around $54-55k at invoice. Seriously doubt the 17' will be less.

I never said fully loaded. The 2014 Supercrew with 801A Luxury package and Front and Rearview camera invoiced at 49,167. Base supercrew invoice was 44,660, 801 luxury package was 4,059 and the front and rear camera was 448.

So I don't think 52ish is out of the question. I could be wrong, but I know I won't be shelling out 60K before TTL. I don't need all those graphics and beadlock wheels. Wheels will be changed anyway.
