It's funny that people still think a v8 is coming. A v8 physically won't fit unless they completely redesign the truck. And that will not happen mid year

Although I didn't get hit with a dealer markup, Ford really missed the boat on pricing.
The MSRP should be $10,000 higher.
This would give the shareholders higher dividends and provide Ford performance with more cash to research subsequent Raptor models.

Should be $10k higher? You know how many MORE people wouldnt buy the truck at that price? Its already too much for A LOT of people so bumping it up another $10k would easily make a huge chunk of buyers go elsewhere.

With a $10,10,000 higher MSRP the dealer could then offer everyone a discount. Everyone would be delighted because they would getting an extremely high tech vehicle for a bargain. It is a bargain right now at MSRP. You can't begin to find the awesome features anywhere else. The goal is always to delight the customer. Many are far from being delighted paying over the MSRP. When you raise the MSRP and offer a discount you end up with super happy customers bragging on the great deal they got rather than grumbling about the outrageous dealer ripoff.

This body/chassis has a V-8 now. Yes is does fit.

Doesn’t the R use a different / unique frame?

Even assuming a v8 fits, which v8 will they source?
The 5.2 doesn’t look to be a good candidate in its current tune, unless they have been very, very secretive about co-developing a gruntier version along side the current model, which would also necessitate emissions and crash testing, full QA testing and much, much more.

Maybe it will be the Raptor R model, with a minimum $20k ADM...

By no means do I think a TTV8 Raptor is in the works. The point is the 5.0L V-8 is offered in the current F150 line up. The primary frame difference between the standard 150 and Raptor is behind the cab. I have no doubt a TTV8 would fit without issue. I seriously doubt one is in the works. Likely at least a couple of mules running around in that configuration.
