It would have made a lot more sense if the other Bronco trims where XL, XLT, Lariat, etc. Since they didn't use the other F150 trims, it's a little odd that they used the Raptor trim. I see why...it's just odd. Then again, they did odd things with the F150 Lighting.

For that matter, they have a new 'timberline' trim level....which appears to be pretty much like Tremor? And the Mach E should not be a mustang, just because they borrowed some mustang styling. Ford has really blurred the lines between models and trims to where there is little logic behind, other than using words they think will bring in more buyers, but not really any logic.

They did really stretch the definition here. And so did Ram with the TRX.

Again though, a Bronco Raptor doesn't really bother me personally.
First time you see a Raptor event posted, and you find out its a Bronco only event...yeah. The fact that people aren't bothered by it seems strange to me. Raptor has meant one thing and one thing only for 10 years. Its an iconic vehicle that people know just by saying the name.

Companies do this dumb **** because of the mentality of people like you. It's more pervasive than I thought.

Wow, you are pretty full of yourself… Glad you can condemn all who don’t mind additional uses of Raptor

Was the original Raptor the first SVT? Or was it perhaps an evolution of the SVT name?

Could a Raptor Bronco, or Raptor Ranger be an evolution too?

No, just iconic vehicles are just that. Iconic. They already pulled one over with the Mach E. Figured they would have learned from that backlash. Guess not. Also, Bronco Warthog sounds badass and more befitting that platform.

As far as your SVT point, most didn't say I have an SVT, they said Raptor. Much like the SVT Cobras, of which I have one, I don't say SVT Cobra, I say Cobra. I also have a Viper GTS and I never say GTS, I just say Viper. People know what that is. A Bronco and a Raptor are very diametrically opposed as to what they are designed to do.

Pretty easy to call a dealership and ask if they have an Raptors in stock, and not have to worry about parsing through different models with the same name.

That's Bronco Rodeo. So are you gonna have 3/4 of the class running Outer Banks' and the other 1/4 running "Fraptors"? I think most here are missing the massive dump Ford just took on Raptors that have been on the road for 10 years now. Nothing is worse than having to clarify what type of vehicle you have because they throw the name on a completely different ride. In a lot of ways, it does a disservice to the Bronco as well.

I posted on FB that most or anyone who give a damn about the Raptors should be flooding Ford with emails and calls demanding they change the name. Warthog just sounds cooler anyways, and it would be specific to the Bronco.
Or maybe they should call it a Puma.... :p

You don't own a Raptor. You own an F-150 in Raptor trim. Others will own a Bronco in Raptor trim. If you have the jet, that's an F22 Raptor.

Raptor is a trim level, not a vehicle type.
So,….the real question is:

1). Is a White Bronco White, OR

2). Is it OJ White?

3). Or is it just confused on what it wants to be??? If it is OJ White…how is OJ White when he is Brown and than shouldn’t it be a Bronco Oreo???

Um to be honest, you have as much of a chance of owning a Raptor(The Dinosaur) as you do the aircraft(F-22). So that’s a big zero.
