Don't ponder over other posts that offend you. They like to poke fun and ignite an argument sometimes. We don't all play well with others.

I got pulled over just about this matter last week coming back to toronto from owen sound. 2 rcmp cars pull me over. They were on spot on the law..... Led are non dot... I used 2 pairs of amber d2 they said it was way to bright. I got a 30 day "fix it tixket"eaning they told me to take off all my led bars or put covers if not done in 30 days.... Well.... Thats gonna suck for me.

Im usually pretty carefull about this..... I rip concession roads from owen sound to orangeville at night doing 170 with all my lights on, i turned off everything but the amber d2s and drove into town to get gas... 10 feet from the gas station 2 cars pull me over.

Ok well i just read the rest of your post. You were on a public road, you where half asleep and didnt turn them off in time.

That is illegal and dangerous cause the drivers of other cars cant see shit when rigids are on, its very dangerous.
Hell i run my 50 on highway 10 and trans canada highway at night all the time but when i see there is incoming light at a bend meaning another vehicle is coming i am super quick to turn em off. I actually drive with my left hand and got my right on the aux switches when im on a public road.

Having seen some snoball vides of me behind another truck with a go pro... Its a supernova at night and another driver will not be able to make out the road hence thats why there are rules about having aux lighting . Not bashin just making sure you watch out since i know your around ontario too.

or be really really care full buddy. i drive toronto- timmins / toronto-owen sound often and i always make my road trips at night to avoid idiots driving especially in the winter.
i use my lights every single day..... no exception. Im cashin in a cheque and getting ducatis retros... my recons are shit, were shit, and now the "xenon" light on one headlight went out so i basically got 1 headlight.............
Up north north where even big highways get rare with people at night its cool to use them, but really do watch out for incoming traffic and turn off yours before because it is really that bright. Especially if they suck at driving which 99.9% ontario sucks at driving.

if you really need to run aux light to see better at night go ambers D2... i got 2 pairs and they light up the road damn well esppecially in the winter..... thinking about putting a 3rd amber pair and 2 amber pairs in the back for safety in harsh conditions. which im always in for some reason :/

Agreed! I took my recons out an just put hid's in the stock light for now, after the 50 im gunna put 3 pairs of d2's on the bumper maybe one set of white driving beam an the other two like an amber wide beam... Thought about getting some retro fits but i want the plain an simple ones with amber dually's for the turn signal haha prob would be a better idea than all these light bars

when i get my light bar ill use it on back roads (gravel roads, not those paved things you Americans call back roads) but aside from that, headlights and fogs only for me.

Hey now, my backroads in Texas are equal to yours if not worse.

I run my rigids, a 20" and two 6" at night when I'm on farm to market roads and gravel roads. When its late and not many cars are out sometimes I'll run them but usually every night when driving on the highways I run the two 6" that are angled out to watch for deer and pigs crossing the road. But like Netix I drive with my fingers on the switch and shut them off before another car comes in view

Yeah, the Netix comet might be funny off-road but you certainly would want any of that on a public road! Yikes!!

There was no other motorist bud. Even if there was it was a 6 lane hwy with a centre median that was probably 100ft so not like it would even affect them, the cop poped up outa nowhere (like they always do)

I guess i just gota stop posting on this dam forum cuz i got people hating on me everyday lol time to join the forum"Z" i guess....
