Wow. A plastic drain plug. I'm sure Ford isn't the first to use them but sometimes I seriously wonder who is making decisions at Ford.

Remember when people were calling Glock's junk because they are plastic?

The housing on the glock is polymer but the parts that matter are steel.

My first thought when I found a plastic plug on the 6.7 diesel. Now I prefer it.

Oil Change:
10mm to remove the 3 bolts holding the access panel (passenger side, aft of the front wheel).
Anti seize to put on the 3 bolts for future ease.
Pliers to twist the plug off
Pan to catch the 6 qts that will roar out in 5 seconds.
6 qts of your favorite 5w-30 Synthetic

Oil Filter Change:
Oil filter socket/rachet that fits the FL-500-S filter (or oil filter pliers)
Hand tools to pull the access panel or the entire front plate
Anti seize to ease future hardware removal
Catch pan for the oil that comes out where you would never expect it to.
Filter, Motorcraft FL-500-S or equiv.

Good point. That probably helps if people take it to places like jiffy lube for oil changes.
