I will say this. I USE to use Mobile 1 exclusively until about 7-8 years ago when I began using AMSOIL by recommendation from a friend that owns the local Carquest. I first used it in one of my Duramax pickups. I began doing oil analysis testing before I would extend my intervals. However, the first time I extended my intervals in my 03 Dmax, I was able to go over 18K miles on one change with the lab telling me to go another 7K miles and test again. I have also had customers who have seen over 35K miles on one oil change using analysis testing to determine their intervals.

Everyone has their favorite brands. All three options you asked about are good options. A good way to determine if one is better than the other is to take a good look at their manufacturer recommended service intervals. If they can warrant intervals up to 25K miles or one year, it is a good possibility that their oil is going to provide better overall protection, even when utilizing shorter service intervals.

The price is right as well. With current wholesale pricing, AMSOIL is not as expensive an option as it seems to be. Let me know if I can provide a shipped quote for you, that, along with more detailed information about their oil and filters can serve to help you to know everything you need to before making your choice.

I used castrol syntec in my s2000 and it was very good. I used amsoil for all the other fluids (gears and transmission) and I liked it better than the redline I used previously. I will probably try amsoil in the Raptor on my next change though.

Amsoil at 2500 miles and then again at roughly 10k hard towing miles of about 3600 pounds across America. 11k right now and purrs like a kitten.

Oil filter removal - Just use your ****** (imagine a *********) and squeeze hard. Slight twist and whallah! Pops off...

declaimer - I used and oil filter wrench the first time and just hand tighten the rest.

From what the service manager told me about someone's case
When it comes to oil and warranty, you need the special blend that Ford uses or the full extended synthetic like Mobil 1 has.
Ford uses these formulas to increase MPG numbers and longevity.

Synthetic Oil | Mobil 1™ Extended Performance It's not the cheapest. LOL

And the Ford Racing Oil Filter is my choice hands down.

As a side note my daughter's 2013 Escape 2.0 L Eco boost will get an oil change every 10,000 miles. So I'll let you know in about a year. LOL
Not 3,000 like my 2010 Raptor, I still have not heard back, if I use this oil in my Raptor could I go 10,000 as well.

I use amsoil now and am very happy with it. I actually just placed an order last night with amsoil to do the oil changes on my 2 cars and my raptor and to do the trans and rear diff in the DD.
