Suprised to see so many negative responses.... Personally I think the lights look good. A lot better than the current Raptor lights.. which look dated and way too plain. And imo one of the weaker points of the front end.

Admittedly, Ducati's setups look wayyy better. I would like to see some color photo's of the updated lights on a Raptor setup rather than the regular f150.... before making a final judgement.

I'd still grab one of ducati's setups in a heartbeat if local laws weren't so uptight. Anything not out of the factory is going to cause me grief.

One of the tech guys at my dealership (For all thats worth) seemed to be under the impression, that it might not be all that easy to retro these new lights into the 10 Raptors.

He said he thinks the wiring will be different enough that it might be difficult or involve more work.

That was just his guess though. He couldn't say with certainty. Just a hunch.

I wouldn't know myself. I am not mechanically inclined whatsoever.

As for the rest of the front end... I still don't like the grilles.

PS - Truck looks great Willis!

Does that truck with the updated lights... have an angled stubby antenna? Or am I looking at it wrong? If it looks how I think it does... I like that better than the 5 foot antenna currently on the truck.

Your exactly right, Ford will incorporate the HID wiring harness into the stock one. So if you want a OEM upgrade it will cost big bucks.

A aftermarket upgrade, for 2010-2012 will only be a couple hundred for the HID components plus the cost of the lights.

Yes you would need bulb ballast and H13 harness but thats very simple to install. It then becomes a question of what kind of performance does the projector have and Ive also been reading about blind spots in the light pattern when you put a HID bulb in a halogen projector.

And yes Osram makes 5000K, I have a set in my shop. Lumen rating is a little less then the 4300K - D2S: Osram Xenarc 66240 CBI - HID Bulbs from The Retrofit Source Inc

Ahh...I didn't think of that. You see that a lot with the Recon lights when guys throw HIDs in them. They don't seem to do much of anything. My neighbor down the way had them on his lifted Silverado and took them off because the light output was terrible. Hopefully Ford decides to run HID. But I have a feeling it's just not going to happen.

I couldn't see the photos at work earlier today and had to wait until I got home. I wish I'd forgotten to look. They look like pimp bling to me. To my eye they belong on a Chevy Citation or an AMC Pacer. Not on a truck. Not any truck. Certainly not an American truck. And for pete's sake, not on a high-performance, ground-pounding, off-road performance truck.

Oh wait. There was one more thing I wanted to say.

Barf.

The foggiest begginings of a mere speculation to plagarize, infringe upon, or otherwise punk el Gregorio McMaManus could never even begin to enter what is left of my heretofore exceptional mind.

Look closer. Greg used all caps and italics.

Well, would you look at that! I didn't even notice that. You're absolutely right! (Trying to think of more big fancy words to compete with your post but I can't. :)

Do they currently run hid bulbs in any cars? I know the flex and stuff have projectors but never paid any attention at night

I know the flex has the option to upgrade to Hid/Xenon for sure. I can't imagine FORD offering projectors without the option to add hid or the hid option might be projectors/xenon together.

I think anything is better than how they look now, very dated. Lights and housings are all getting smaller and more efficient, so get used to it :)
