Finally got my new truck home! Very impressed with how nice it rides and how well it handles. Great torque for some of the steep hills around here. I'm not too happy with how the dealer prepped it after it sat in their lot for 45 days. As I was inspecting I saw there was no clearance on the front of the drivers side hood. I couldn't get a dollar bill in that gap! Also the passenger door gaps were really bad, VERY uneven. They got it straightened out today. The only thing still visible is the very corner of the hood that you can see only when it's open has the paint rubbed off of it. You can only see it when the hoods open and even than it's barely visible. There was also some scratch/rub marks on the plastic piece on the top of the tailgate that the shop got out.

Kind of a bummer but minor stuff. I was also kind of bummed that no dealer personnel could give me 15 minutes of help to help me learn the truck. Supposedly they are still not allowed to do that, no test drives, quite a few limits still on the dealer.

Great fun once I got it and took it for a few hours of driving. The only thing I found so far that I REALLY HATE is that it's so quiet and smooth it's way too easy to be going much faster than you think. I hopped on the highway right after I picked it up and I was getting pissed off at a guy for dogging it in the left lane until I checked the speedo and saw I was doing 80 in a 55. I'll have to be really careful with that until I adjust to it. Awesome truck, but most of you already knew that! :happy160: I'll take better pics once I get done with working on it.

You can be doing 100mph and it’s so smooth and you don’t realize how fast your going. It’s like that all the way to the max speed of this truck.

Enjoy the new ride.

Yeah, but you’ll hear the KO2’s howl in protest if you’re doing any kind of curves at that speed, like say... I64 near ~ Alderson, WV. I let my wife drive that stretch a few years back and man she was in full nascar mode, about 95-105 mph from what I could see before asking her how fast she was going. Next thing you know we’re slowing down, but no answer. I asked again and she admitted being over 100. I hadn’t even gotten Lucille going that fast yet.

Congrads! I wouldn’t worry about speeding. The cops have been doing a phenomenal job at not enforcing those pesky traffic laws amid this pandemic. That’s the upside of this whole mess that we’re in.

I have several LEO buddies in different departments, one is a chief, and they all said they are trying to have as little contact with people as possible so they don't drag something home to their families.

Exactly right, and who could blame them?

Open it up Oldfart. Have fun. Just don't get arrested. The court system is shut down... Don't want to see you sitting in a cell. Now you just need a tune to get rid of that pesky speed limiter. Happy that you finally got your toy. Ah hum, daily commuter.
