Finally got my new truck home! Very impressed with how nice it rides and how well it handles. Great torque for some of the steep hills around here. I'm not too happy with how the dealer prepped it after it sat in their lot for 45 days. As I was inspecting I saw there was no clearance on the front of the drivers side hood. I couldn't get a dollar bill in that gap! Also the passenger door gaps were really bad, VERY uneven. They got it straightened out today. The only thing still visible is the very corner of the hood that you can see only when it's open has the paint rubbed off of it. You can only see it when the hoods open and even than it's barely visible. There was also some scratch/rub marks on the plastic piece on the top of the tailgate that the shop got out.

Kind of a bummer but minor stuff. I was also kind of bummed that no dealer personnel could give me 15 minutes of help to help me learn the truck. Supposedly they are still not allowed to do that, no test drives, quite a few limits still on the dealer.

Great fun once I got it and took it for a few hours of driving. The only thing I found so far that I REALLY HATE is that it's so quiet and smooth it's way too easy to be going much faster than you think. I hopped on the highway right after I picked it up and I was getting pissed off at a guy for dogging it in the left lane until I checked the speedo and saw I was doing 80 in a 55. I'll have to be really careful with that until I adjust to it. Awesome truck, but most of you already knew that! :happy160: I'll take better pics once I get done with working on it.

Congrats! Still waiting on the bank to process my loan for my 2020 RR. It's in Oregon and ready to head north to Alaska once the paperwork is done. I'll be selling my 2018 RR once it gets here and I can swap a few parts. I'm looking forward to personalizing the new one, and the plan is to have the ADD Bomber bumper shipped up with the truck to start the process off right.

Nice!

I love the truck, but damn do I feel stupid with the all electronics. Especially since the dealer said he can't show me anything at all, due to the continued restrictions. It's definitely going to take a while to learn how all the cools stuff works. I'm running at 38/34 like was recommended in here and it seems perfect. Nice smooth ride and stays amazingly flat on ramps and sharp corners. I've also been shocked how it chugs up a real steep hill like a diesel. I knew the torque numbers, but it still surprised me.

I am kind of surprised that I saw people comment that they thought the new live shocks rode too stiff. After spending some time in it the only way I would consider it stiff is if I was comparing to a 1972 Lincoln Towncar.

super excited for you. Can’t wait to see your progress with her. Yeah, I was surprised by how refined she is on the road for such a beast too!

Lol, a month after I had mine I was pulled over for speeding as well! Been 20 plus years since the last time that happened

I could see that being REALLY EASY. I normally will crank along on an open highway, but 80 in a 55 when I'm not even in a hurry isn't something I would ever do on purpose. I was telling a cop buddy I did that and I asked him if he would believe me if he stopped me at that speed and I told him it wasn't on purpose. He just started laughing and said "Hell no, not if I didn't know you!"
Nice Volvo! Hopefully you keep it. Wagons are getting rare. Is it an R?

Thanks, yes, '98 R I've had since new. I autocrossed it for quite a few years. That's died off in the region unfortunately. Funny how little it looks by the truck.

That's a great looking truck! congrats. I thought it made the chevy look small.

Thanks, Lol, I have the same pic with my beater Silverado! It's a good old truck though, I still like it. It looks like a mini-truck next to a Raptor. It's crazy how small it makes a normal 1/2 ton look.
