FAIL!!! Sync Gen2 V3.8

Try to reset the APIM. But I think you have to go to the next Ford dealer. He need to install the latest software with IDS. your APIM lost some codes from the as build. Do you use any interfaces like nav-tv or lockpicks?

i went 3 different dealers and according to my understanding they dont even know what to do and keep saying ford removed those seats from display.
i dont use lockpicks or nav tv.just purchased truck october 14th and sofware was updated to 3.7 on sept 1st 2015 and nov 18th i did 3.8 update because of ford sent me .first dealer he tried 2 more times to update to 3,8 but result still same.also a few times i ve tried master reset but still no luck either.

It looks, that the APIM lost some asbuilt configs with update.

For a Ford dealer its very easy to install with IDS/PTS the latest sync version. With this installation all losted asbuilt codes comes to the factory setting.

i wish i can find any ford dealer in 50 miles radius who really know what to do including what you say.but ford technicians really far away from to fix their technology.they need more training i believe.last dealer i ve visited was in newjersey state i ve drive all those miles and that lazy guy who identified himself technician just saying that he cant do anything ((

I remember reading this same issue of lost icons from f150forum here is link 2 Issues - MFT Cooled Seats & Dimming Status Window - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans I would try to search more to know if it was intentional act from Ford to get those gone from screen.
I don't know shit about anything, so don't blame me if it's not the issue. I just remembered reading about it I know you that guys get it sorted out

For anyone who went through with the 3.8 update and has the Lincoln splash screen and wants to revert back to their Raptor splash screen. Using the following method I was able to reinstall my Raptor graphics.

Do this at your own risk... I am not responsible for any issues you may encounter...

Copy the following files/Folder to your USB drive (or if you still have all your files on your USB drive simply delete the extra files in the SyncMyRide folder and just edit the autoinstall.lst):
autoinstall.lst
DONTINDEX.MSA
SyncMyRide

In the SyncMyRide folder the only file you will need is the EA5T-14F496-MA.zip file which contains the Raptor specific splash screen files.

Once the files are copied edit the autoinstall.lst file. It should look like the following:

;;;

[SYNCGen2_3.08.15128]
Item1 = EA5T-14F496-MA.zip
Open1 = \SyncMyRide\EA5T-14F496-MA.zip
Options = AutoInstall

That should be it, pop the USB in and away you go. Update takes seconds to complete since only the splash screen files are being copied over.

I added screenshots below. 'Untitled' is the ROOT of my USB drive. Ignore the shaded files as those are system files that I have unhidden on my machine.

I too have the Lincoln & Presidential splash after the 3.8 SYNC update. So I'm off to try and run the patch.

I wouldn't mind finding my way into the testing area and tackling that hill in the middle.



I called the 800 number this morning and had my name put on a list to be notified once the problem is rectified. Said they will probably just send out a link to the new update file. Or maybe it is a ruse and they really won't do a thing. Anyway, I will continue to pretend I am driving my Lincoln Raptor. I feel like a real Mathew McConaughey all in deep thought.

I'm having this problem also. Can u post the 800 number to call.
