I did some more searching inside the upgrade files but I didn't see anything for the seats. I found lots of other interesting stuff for Mustang, Lincoln, Nav, etc. So I believe the upgrade unfortunately only includes the new features, not a full set. So the next step is to do a Master Reset to get back to the factory default settings. Unfortunately I see you already tried this without success. Before the next thing, you may want to do a Master Reset again.

The next thing to try may be a hard Sync reboot. First remove all connected USBs or other connections. Then remove the negative battery cable and wait 5 min. Reconnect the battery cable and start the engine. The Sync should indicate it is rebooting. This was the fix for many of the earlier Sync system problems, so it may work.

I also did a lot of reading of other posts on Sync topics. If the reboot doesn't work, I believe Auto-Hentzschel is correct in that the APIM module is having problems. If so, I think this can only be done by the dealer.

Sorry I couldn't help you on this. Hopefully the reboot will work.

i still have previous update (3.7) files.i matched them and i see that some file shorts on new update.do you think i can add those file in to new update?

nevermind - had to change the autoinstall.lst file text from the wording on the left to the wording on the right. that seemed to do the trick. the other files from the patch stayed the same.

It probably wouldn't hurt anything, as it should be installing what is already there. If you look into the zip files, it will give you an idea of what feature it updates. This is what I did.

I am curious about the version number you have installed. Since you don't have a Raptor (i.e. 2015), the version number might be different. Does it show SYNCGen2_3.08.15128 on the system display?

I did some more internet searches on this problem and found this video:
https://www.facebook.com/fordpimods/videos/vb.343119285869504/497639903750774/?type=2&theater

Ford intentionally removed the icons based on manufacture date. He states in the video this is not something that can be done by the user or the dealer.
To change it back, he altered the APIM module "data" on a bench setup, which is out of my league.

It seems it is not something that can be changed via an update file. This does not make sense to me since an update disabled it. The only catch might be some comments that updates cannot be reversed. I don't know why.

The only suggestion I have is to get with a Ford tech and show him this website:
08-21-2 SYNC SOFTWARE PROGRAMMING SERVICE TIPS : Ford Flex Forum
He may be able to login and find the files to reload/reset the entire system.

Good Luck!
