The Complete GEN 2 Raptor Information Thread

Is it traditionally speaking? Or from what you've heard? I guess we'll all have to wait to find out since none of us actually know.

Sorry, just saw this. I guess the more correct way of phrasing my statement would be, from what I hear, traditionally electric does not do as well off-road. I only add traditionally because I cannot predict rather or not they will address traditional issues and create a problem free solution.

It is not a GEN 2... It is a Ford Raptor.. Its technically a 3rd Generation of the Raptor. Either call it SVT KILLER or just Raptor...All you SVT fan boys shouldn't even be in here, because all you want to do is crap on this truck because its everything your over priced hunk of steel isn't.

I was extremely upset with ford about 2 years ago. I finally found a dealer in the Tucson Area that wasnt trying to screw me for 10K over invoice to buy my Raptor. I laid 5k deposit down and 2 months later I get a call that my Raptor was not going to get built (shutting down plant to stock up on regular fords before the new body comes out??)

So I take my 5k and make a few phone calls to someone who is a big wig dating my sister at GM and I get a new fully loaded LTZ crew cab for 15k under msrp.

Now I am sitting here thinking HAHAHAHAHA.. I am no wheres near upside down in my Chevy and I'll trade it in for The new and Much improved Raptor the SVT Killer rightfully nicknamed.

It's amazing how many butt hurt SVT owners are out there smash talking the SVT Killer because it has all the things they don't have..But what is really funny is that there will be a flood of used SVT's on the lots this fall, because the same trash talkers will be trading thier trucks in.

I was mad at Ford at first, but since I am in a truck worth way more then I owe I can get right into the best raptor, unlike the SVT guys that will be so upside down in their payments...lol

You'd be singing a different tune if you had the truck you really wanted in the first place. You obviously haven't driven this beast in the wide open desert....maybe not even at all. I bought my truck 16 months ago and have put about 20k miles on it, over 2k of those offroad, and can still sell it to my local dealer for a 3k gain! Name a newer truck you can do that with without buying it well below market value like you were able to do. Most of us on here use our truck the way it was intended to be used and won't be selling it anytime soon because of the pure joy it brings us. My point is that value is all in the eye of the beholder. I've made many of friends and have had rad experiences solely because of this truck.

Stop perpetuating the douchery you speak of and enjoy the trails with us[emoji12] or not, but please stop being rude here.

Drove a 2015 chevy 2500 today, got out, got in my raptor and thought damn this thing kicks ass. The Raptor is the ultimate

I bet you're closer to being upside down in your chevy than I am in my Raptor. My truck has actually appreciated in value since purchasing it.

Also, you still seem a little upset that you couldn't afford the dealer mark-up on a raptor so you had to settle for a ****** silverado... There's a reason why no dealer marks up silverados...

That whole post just screamed bitterness. That 15k off sticker will translate in to about 3k of added value since the Chevy will have lost so much value to begin with.

But its always the same story with the Gen2 fanbois. They couldn't or wouldn't buy a Gen1 Raptor or had to settle for something less and now that there is a phantom Raptor out on the horizon, just far enough out that nobody will remember which Gen2 fanbois will actually buy a Raptor, can talk all the shit they want about a truck that only exists in Ford talking points and very muted 20 second video clips.
