holy shit these instructions that come with it suck.... the youtube vids have been alot better, but now im stuck as i dont think i have the shims, and i dont want to clamps on bare metal in the bed. i know its the back side and painted... but still, it cant be good.

Wait, what's so tough about the bed extender and BedRug? What kind of tools do you need? I'm going to be doing this too...

I didn't need anything special when I installed my bedrug and F1. I did use the metal clamps though.

t-50 it looks like, i didnt look at the tie downs, they look like torque bits too, didnt check size since i really dont have any, definalty dont have the t-50 tho... i have a small allen wrench thats a t-50, but its a ************* and doesnt wanna sit flush.

i did get the F1 on. i really dont like thos clamps.... not at all.... id get the teeth lined up, start tightening and holding it in place, and it would break loose and rotate on me... im sure that did wonders on the paint.....

so its on and it does look nice, but i cant say im happy with it.... ****** instructions, clamps that to me dont feel all the secure and tightening them felt like i was doing damage to the backside of the rail..... im kinda regretting it now.... that may go away, and i might just be a ******* idiot in how i did it... i dunno, i never fully rule that out. but just not very happy with it right now.

The clamps did the same thing to me. You just had to really have some finesse and get them on, get the ratchet on there and just crank it down slowly. I go through an auto-car-wash in town that has 5 jet dryer things and it's on there GOOD.

didnt have a ratchet, just a crescent wrench. it was kinda like you couldnt have them go all the way up.... but like 2 notches down.... if that makes sense..... the cover closest to the tailgate seems a little high.... i dunno if its from the rubber bent down so much, or if my clamp being like 10 inches from the back... i might have to move it closer to the tailgate....

i dunno, im frustrated with alot of things in general, and today was close to sending me over the edge lol. im still not super happy about how it installed, but, ill get over it.

I can get you pics of where I put my clamps. Mine went all the way up toward the top of the rail. All my teeth are "engaged", for a lack of better words... Just let me know. A crescent wrench probably didn't help your frustration, but ya gotta do what ya can with what ya got.
