I did opt for the 7 year/125,000 mile premium warranty because I'm keeping this truck a good, long time!

I got the 7 year/100,000 mile premium warranty thing when I bought the truck. I don't plan on keeping it that long. I have committment issues. Someday, I'll find something worth keeping for a while.

i can't speak for raptor girl, but imo connections and sex appeal only get ya so far... A girl's gotta have the smarts to know how to get what she wants! I think you know i have a close connection to a certain dealer but that does me no good 99% of the time...although i did get a deal on my extended warranty in exchange for some marketing. Heck, i didn't even buy my truck from him because my powers of persuasion worked much better on my local dealer! The local warranty ***** ****** me off but the sales manager has always come through for me. :)

I must be in the minority group here, I did not buy the extended. I have never bought an extended and knock on wood, have never needed one. My daily driver was bought new in 1995.

I paid a bit more than Swoop but promised not so say how much.. I think there's also an affect on the rate for waiting too long to buy from the truck's in service date and overall mileage. My old 2010 had about 16k on it when I bought and I paid mid-teens. Of course I also don't care for high deductibles so if you want to pay more per service you can pay less upfront.

I take extended warranties on certain vehicles. Not ones that I know I am going flog the crap out of. Mustangs, Raptors...forget about it. My towing rig (F350) and the kid hauler (Expedition)...yes.
