The last two days my engine cooling fans are running on high from the time I cold start. I know it’s hot out mid 90’s lately, but never observed this right from the start. The truck is running normal temps as well.

I’m going to monitor and start it earlier tomorrow morning and see if the same. Otherwise might there be something else going on?

Clean the bugs and crap off the condenser/radiator with a mild degreaser, pressure washer at the car wash. Just to be sure.

If your parked vehicle is baking in the sun the sensors may be hot on start up too.

mine has been doing the same thing. I didn't give it a second thought as it's been 100+ and the A/C is on.

I started the truck this eve after it cooled down some to like 87 and rain clouds moved in. The fans spun up but lowered down to a moderate level. We have been in a heat wave down here with that Saharan dust. So the last two days I haven’t started the truck until the afternoon. It’s been 95 degrees and just boiling hot sun. The trucks screen said it was 114 out lol. I’m in Florida not the desert. But that sun is HOT!

So I can only say the truck knows when it’s hot and will turn things up before it has to. Just something new I observed since I had it.

My previous F-150 sometimes had the fans kick on high upon a cold start sitting in the garage when the temps were 90+ so I think it’s normal.
