Good thing no one was injured and it didn't spread to something even more valuable. I'm willing to bet it had to do with some of the aftermarket wiring. Fused connections only work if the over-load condition happens after the fuse. If, for example, the hot lead worked it's way out of the fuse box going to your amp and made contact with a ground connection, it would undoubtedly result in a fire.

Man, so sorry to hear that but glad everyone is ok.

Good reminder to have those fire extinguishers handy and current. I am gonna go home and check mine tonight!

That is scary, knowing that the truck can go up in flames without any obvious causes. Glad it stopped with the truck, and very curious about what the investigation finds.
