GEN 2 Electric power washer?

With all the Black Friday sales starting to kick off I’m considering getting an electric power washer to makes cleaning the Raptor a little easier. Obviously I’d plan to use a foam cannon with it. Anyone have a recommendation for a good one?

Cold or warm water? A cheap electric Sun Joe will do most everything you need of it for $100-150 and I run lukewarm water through mine. Stepping up to a true warm water unit is a considerable $ jump.

Thanks Kahuna. I had looked at the Sun Joe, it’s more along the lines of what I was looking for. Just wanted some verification of what was a good unit.

I have the one below. It is plasticky and cheaply made but does the job. The soap dispenser is finicky and I don't use it. From memory, I paid like $100 on deal direct from Sun Joe with some coupons.

If I had my time again I'd probably get one with a reel for convenience. Something like this:

Personally I like a relatively low power (1500-2000 ish PSI) because there is less risk you break something, strip paint, put holes in your plastic floor mats etc.

There is a use case for a more powerful unit if you buy an undercarriage sprayer with multiple nozzles such as this:

I get on my a creeper and use this to get into nooks and crannies when doing my undercarriage. Dirty work but someone's got to do it.

Don't spend big money on a snow foam cannon. A cheap one is fine. IMO foam is a gimmick with the only real benefit being increased dwell time. (Soap doesn't fall off as quickly).

This is also an interesting new development, battery powered one but I haven't tried it myself.

I would love to have a hot water generating unit but they are nearer $2k.

If you want to splash for a top of the range cold water unit look at Kranzle.

I use the sun Joe too and it works fine.
I did replace the gun with a better one which makes a big difference. (MTM with swivel)

One thing I wish I would have done before purchasing my pressure washer was to make sure that any foam cannons that I was looking at were compatible. It seems that Karcher is a popular brand.

I made my Craftsman work with my Adam's Foam Cannon, but it required buying a new hose, fittings, and attachment. Not worth it at the end of the day.

If I had to do it over again, I'd buy gas with a Honda motor.
