Well did you get the vocals put on the factory freak yet?

Yes I did! DAMN it's loud. Sounds like a freaken BEAST right now, really nice....BUT at highway speeds I'm not sure I'm going to be able to handle it.
I'll drive around for a bit with it but I can't see myself doing a long trip with it like this.
I'll try to make a video and compare with my old set up.

What muffler did you end up going with?

Lol, which muffler did you end up with? Is it the drone that's bad on the hwy or just noisy in general?

I was going to do a video tonight but my camera battery was dead, thought it had like 45 mins left...WRONG!
So hopefully tomorrow I'll get a video clip, camera on charger now.
The sound is a nice loud from zero to 50 but in between areas there is this HUMMMM that hits a note that is kinda piercing at certain RPM's.
At 65 to 75 "OH BABY" does that HUMMMMMMMM get humming. It's gonna be a hard decision to make because this ******* thing sounds amazing revving up through gears from zero on up.
Boy did I get some major head turns and thumbs up this evening.lol

OK here is a video of the exhaust right now, the DRONE is just way too much in cab at highway speeds from 60 to 80.
Measured the decibles and it's around 84db. The note is very nice but I've got Gary trying to work on possibly cancelling it out. I HOPE!
Really don't want to change the exhaust.
The muffler he used was a EXLERATOR with an X pipe built in, dual in/ dual out.
Let me know what you think.

Awesome! I was thinking of going do down the same route with my exhaust. I am really curious on this. What does he think about a 6.2 set up? Sounds difference, what is his opinion (thoughts before putting it on a dyno for actual numbers) on power gains, over stock or over other aftermarket stuff?

Sounds awesome!

If the highway drone is as bad as you sounds that would be a big downside to me, when I leave town, it is usually for hours long trips. Otherwise Monday to Friday would be fine for me

Any thoughts on trying a 1/4 wave resonator?

Never heard of it. Time to do some research.lol
I'll do anything(well almost anything ;) ) to get rid of the drone and keep this set up.

He really didn't sound to happy when I first walked in and told him about the drone but we'll see if he helps me out or just blows me off by telling me he's gonna look into it.
I'm not too sure about the 6.2 and he never really gave me any input.
Sorry.

Yeah look into helmholtz resonator or 1/4 branch resonator. It works to quite drone but takes a little trial and error sometimes. Popular on exotic cars and hospital generators/shit like that. Easy to make though.
