I searched but didn’t find anything on this subject. Going to replace my air filter and was wondering what drop in replacement you guys are using? Motorcraft or something else? Not sure about oiled on these trucks but on my M5s oiled could gum up the MAF, is that an issue? Don’t want a new intake. Saw AEM makes a dry replacement not sure if anyone else does.

I just motorcraft & swap it out every other oil change. On the Raptor I advanced my typical maintenance schedule on a DD due to the tt HO 3.5 platform & wanting to get on it all the time.

Engine gets amsoil every 5k tops
Swappin out air filter w/ motorcraft every 10k
Think I’m gonna do SP542 plugs every 15k
Rear diff @ 20k intervals
Front diff @ 35k
Tranny/TC @ 50k

The CAIs on these trucks don’t seem to add any HP, do increase noise if that’s what you want- but I’ve read they can also throw CELs & think putting money toward a “performance” mod that doesn’t add any, could cause dealer/warranty issue, may throw a code & costs $400 +\- .....yeah all set.

I've got a Dinan on my M3 and drop in AFE Pro Dry on the Audi. For the Raptor I'd go with AFE.

FWIW, I did a lot of looking on this subject a couple years ago. Yes a K&N can potentially cause problems with a MAF. Personally never had any. However, i did come across a study that tested oiled and paper filters in a eral use application (not climate/condition controlled). The winner from a flow AND filter standpoint was a WIX, which I am running. Yes, I realize there are offroad conditions where that could change. But for regular use that was the outcome.

Gonna pick up a Wix air filter on my next Amsoil order.

I will start using Motorcraft soon, was using Ford filters till now but too expensive and their overall service is bad.
