Semi-related….the ‘other garage’ that will be used for yard tools and pool stuff is coming together as well. Found a place in Charlotte that sells new black slat wall for $80 a sheet. Bought 6 and have my nephew helping me with the install.

Far more economical than Gladiator systems or others AND there are a crazy number of options for storage with pegs, hooks, shelves, baskets…….all that work with slat wall.

Super sweet set-up. I'd be interested to see the vehicles that fill it. IMO, it's the cars/trucks that occupy the space that makes it's a dream garage, not the building itself. Any plans for a lift? All dream garages have lifts.

No plans for a lift at this time. As for vehicles they are all in my signature. Other than the Raptor and Toyoace…..pretty normal stuff. Looking at a Z06 and hoping the bonkers ZR1 will drive the Z06 prices back to reality.

“Other garage” all finished for now. IMG_7525.jpeg

Slow and steady…..

1) Base built for my Yukon boxes
2) Uppers assembled and hung
3) Gas globes assembled and wired
4) Toolwall mostly done

Need to rewire everything so it’s a lot cleaner. Working on that next:

1) Order 6 Yukon boxes tomorrow
2) Wiring ordered
3) Fans need to hang 3
4) Ordered the wall control panels
5) Lay the floor tile
6) Install wash wall

More progress:

TOOL WALL
- Added batten board to cover box gaps
- Used wire hiders to run all the lighting wires
- 2” desk grommets used to run power cords and speaker wires
- Added hidden outlets (6)
- Added 4x8 slat wall for all the long/tall tools

WASH WALL
- Added LED’s to that corner as it was a dungeon
- Added ~36” of slat wall where I could
- Pressure washer and wand storage tube mounted
- Water filters mounted
- Vacuum and hose reel installed
- Retractable hose and power cord installed

Still lots to do…….just chipping away at it.IMG_0820.jpegIMG_0826.jpegIMG_0818.jpeg

With your power wash setup- do you have to open your garage door and hook up the garden hose from outside to use it or do you have a water supply in the garage?

Right about now, the most impressive feature I can think of is a monster AC unit in that garage. Just sayin'
