I called them about an hour ago and am pretty....well......you tell me. Talked to the ast service manager and was told they found the issue, a bad rocker arm. I said that last wednesday when I was there, they had removed- inspected- and replaced the valve cover but with no answer as to the problem. He said they had to go back and look again and then found the bad rocker. They have placed an order for a new one but "...and this is where i need your patients....its on a national backorder and might take a week or two..or more.. to get". So after being at the dealer for a week, they "think" they know whats wrong but its going to be a couple more weeks to get fixed. Not for nothing but I could get a set of high performance aluminium roller rockers for Summit or Jeggs delivered tomorrow for a couple hundred.....just saying.

.....I know, just frustrating. I miss my truck. :( Suppose that since Ford is going to have it for a month I dont need to make this months payment??

Talk with the Service Manager - usually when things take that long, Ford will allow them to extend some "goodwill" dollars your way... who knows, might as well ask!

I'll ask about it but mostly want my truck back and am a little upset with the dealer. I really wanted to make a stink with the ast. service manager, he said they would call and keep me updated which he hasn't done at all. Only info ive gotten was when I've calle them after not hearing anything for a few days.
Im pretty sure this will be my last pre owned Ford I ever get.

Here is my rocker arm story. I never had a bad knock or any lights though. Only a slight tick. And @FordService, Crystal was a great help.

Thanks for that.....after reading it i wonder if i should push for them to replace them all. I mean if the replacement part is a newer design, the originals are known to be problematic and im going to have to wait 2 - 3 weeks for 1, why wouldn't they want to do them all and not have to deal with it/me again? ...suppose I would have a leg to stand on if I tried for this? .......

None taken....just this is a new dealer for me. My last/ local dealer screwd me over so many times I left them and went to this one. My first experience with them and some routine maintenance was excellent. Now that im there for more than an oil change im loosing faith...but will wait until the end to make my final decision. If this were my old dealer I would have lost it by now but am giving this one the benefit of doubt. Hopefully it will all work out in the end and ill be happy with the outcome.
