6 days into ownership and less than 200 miles on my 2019 raptor and I got sideswiped while at dinner with the family. Of course they didn’t leave a note, and just drove off.

I’m going to need a new drivers side mirror and potentially my rear quarter panel repainted.

people suck.

Oof, any cameras around? Just get it fixed. If the body shop does a good job, you will forget about it in 6 months.

No cameras, I was parked on the street.

This should be covered by comprehensive, if you have it. I had a similar experience with my M3, though not as bad. I was parked at the hospital while my son was having surgery. Some old guy pulled his POS Acura MDX right into the back of my car, and just left it in contact. Gouged the shit out of my bumper and bent it up. Luckily, I could take pics of his plates and VIN, and my insurer tracked him down. Bummer though because I keep the car pristine. Then it got keyed by some *******. Had to repaint half the car. But I took it to a great body shop and all is well now.

Good news! I worked on the scratch this morning and was able to buff it out. No repaint will be needed. The mirror is still a little F’d, but I think I will just leave it alone. It’s gonna get a little scratched on the trails anyways. For 99% of people, they won’t notice.

Always fold in my mirrors for this very reason. Push of a button or use Forscan to make it automatic.

I feel you! I actually bought the forescan tool and it got delivered yesterday. The auto fold mirrors was the #1 thing I wanted to do. One day too late
