Looks like it may be a few weeks. On another forum, I read that it takes 1-4 weeks to ship from ColoradoSpeed. They actualy told me the problem was that Doug's were waiting on motors. Who knows.

On a side note, the truck sounds better with out the resignator.

That is incorrect. DMH cutouts takes 1-4 weeks which are specifically stated on the product page. Doug's cutouts are shipped within 1-3 business days. If they are on backordered, customers are notified. All our backorders shipped Friday. Thank you.

This will be my first time posting (I've been lurking on the forum for a few months now). I actually purchased willis68's Raptor. I'm going to add a Doug's Cutout and was wondering if anyone had put two on their exhaust (1 for each side after the headers and cats). I plan to get it done one way or the other here in a week or so and wonder if it would affect the sound any - kinda like having the exhaust in stereo.

Trust me, one is sufficient. Two is overkill. Usually you'll see a HP gain of 5-10 HP on the dyno with one cutout open.

Welcome to FRF, you can check in here: http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f18/trolls-check-hear-21092/

The one thing CoSpeed has going for them is their price. My recommendation is to take their price (or the lowest price you can find) and ask one of our many supporting vendors if they will match it. ymmv.

We do have a lot going for us besides just PRICE. Definitely support your vendors here as we would ask you to do the same thing on boards we sponsor. We just got on board here to correct your statement above about shipping times and your confusion between DMH and DOUG's that you ordered from us. Not once have you seen us advertise to sell here. We know the rules and we know how it's played.

I went ahead and had the Doug's installed this weekend. I dropped it off at Rides of Conover in North Carolina and they did an awesome job. We decided to go with just the one cutout instead of two. I'm glad I ordered 2 initially, because one of them promptly burned out. 3 days later and the second one is dead. The gate seems to be seizing up. After some....err light tapping on the housing I have been able to get it mostly closed for the time being. As a last resort, I may try hitting the gate with some WD-40. The gate mechanism of the Doug's is by far a better design than a butterfly valve, but I'm less than impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship up to this point.

I wanted to give an update on the cutout. The people over at Doug's acknowledged that the gate/valve can get stuck due to the stainless housing expanding from exhaust heat. This made sense, because I had just driven 400miles non-stop when the problem occured. I let the exhaust cool overnight and rocked the switch back and forth to free the gate. Once it was fully closed I sprayed a little WD-40 on it and it slid open perfectly. I've used it at least once a day for the last few weeks and have even opened and closed it successfully when hot. Fingers crossed, but everything appears to be good now.

This sounds like a good option for me. I want the truck louder, but do not want to deal with drone on long trips or when I'm towing.

Does anyone have pictures of it installed after the resonator?
