Don't be "THAT GUY" and park in 2 spaces at one time in a Raptor

Ehh, I’m guilty of it and don’t have a problem with it. I always park far away, basically in the middle of no where. Usually there is no one around where I park. I didn’t historically take up more than one space but I will with the Raptor. There has been many times I’ve come out of where ever I was and I’m 3 football fields away and someone parked next to me. Now I’ll pull into a space, if I’m over a line left or right, front or back, I just don’t care. But no, I wouldn’t park close And like the OP.

I would have auto rolled my windows down, stood on his ************* and climbed in through the window......that was pretty intentional

That would be tempting indeed. As would ripping a mirror off, keying, braking a window, and lots of other things. It’s obvious that this person made an effort to screw with you. There is no way they got that close by just pulling into the space. No, they worked at this to get as close as possible. But in the end, they didn’t actually touch your car, and you made the right call not touching theirs (other than to leave the note, which I’m sure had some choice words).

I wonder about the mentality of these kinds of actions. An immature and inappropriate juvenile practical joke? If so, you are taking a big risk for it. Jealousy? General mean spiritedness? Politics (how dare you drive a big gas guzzler)?

somewhere, somehow, people started believing that they are somehow entitled to have an opinion ( and that I care about said opinion) on how others live their lives. It is almost as if they feel that their opinion might actually matter to me.

When approached by someone with 2 brain cells in their head in a courteous way, I'm happy to respond politely and be cordial. I'd most likely actually move my vehicle to accommodate the person who has decided to be a well-adjusted human.

doing crap like parking an inch from my driver's door and/or telling me how terrible of a person that I am due to inconveniencing you?

I might just drop a deuce on your windshield to illuminate exactly what I think of your conjecture. :poop:

:troll3: sorry, couldn't hold it and the restroom is for "customers only".

Now that would be funny.

I read a story on Jalopnik about a guy who was attending a party and decided to park his car on a neighbor’s lawn so he could plug into an exterior outlet and steel his electricity to charge his car. I think that would be my breaking point. I’m not sure I could have restrained myself from absolutely trashing it, and then dropping a deuce on the driver’s seat.

Of course, the right thing to do would be to have it towed and impounded...

Though i agree in this case, using 2 spaces in a full parking lot is rude and unacceptable, i do park on two spaces regularly if no curbside space is available, i do so at the end of the lot, far away and walking in the sun or rain, a small price for avoiding door dingers.
I do think that businesses need to allocate wider spots for trucks, same as “expecting mom” spots, small car spots, etc, on top of that, dingers need to be taught a serious lesson so they will learn to respect other people’s property, as do the people who leave empty shopping carts in the parking lot - letting them slide to other cars.

I find that most people parking besides me in the raptor try avoiding it more, also there is that metal step too

i usually try my best to fit in the lines.. but for the most part, when perfectly parked, i'm touching the lines on both sides. when i dont have enough space my passenger side might carry over to the other parking spot, but normally not on purpose.

if a parking lot is empty, parking far out should be no problem at all no matter how you park. Its when its crowded and someone takes 2 spaces on purpose thats aggravating.. that said.... There are always those people who cant park, on or at the line, leaving little space to park, if at all. At least the person taking 2 places has a reason.. to protect their vehicle, the others are just bad drivers.. or stupid, or both. which is worse? the idiot who cant park and/or doesn't care enough to re-position their vehicle? or the person who is trying to protect their car from dings.. To tell you the truth, at least I understand the protector.. the other person is careless and stupid, which for me, is even more irritating.. yes, i know it could have been the car on the other side that started it.. but it only takes one bad parker to mess up an entire row..

BTW, this wasn't intended to be in reference to Raptors that cant fit in a space.. thats another problem all together that parking lots need to address... its intended to the person who has a car/truck and cant center it right,,
