Do me a favor, please just run 93 or at least 91 in your new Raptor

The manufacturer says 87 so Im going to run 87 unless Im towing then I might top off with 91 for fun.

Don't come crying if you have problems

I believe the manufacturer recommends 91, but you can use 87.

please don't use 87

My tuner displays over 100 PIDs. Spark Retard has nothing to do with boost pressure. I measured timing retard on my 2014 Raptor as well. See picture below. Upper left hand corner.
I have been doing this for a while now.

Have you looked at the other posts about Gen 2 Knock? The manual says is normal. I will get a clip. My wifes car is Direct injection and sounds nothing like this.

Man, you put 50wt oil in your car and got valve noise. Shocker. You thought it was knock. Now you've got some problem in your truck, and you're calling that knock, too. Every noise your truck makes isn't knock, and none of what you describe sounds like knock.

And knock is never normal. If Ford is telling you that the noise you're hearing is normal, then it ain't knock.

its more the power that is gained. more warranty claims etc. think about it.

Unless the boost is increased, you won't see any additional power with E85 over premium. If the boost is not raised, all that left is timing. Assuming it's not pulling timing on premium, where's all the extra power coming from?

e85 allows for more timing to be run then 93, so YES you can increase power without increasing boost and in some cases quite a bit.

my vette on the left would likely gain over 100hp just with the switch to e85 and a retune WITHOUT touching my boost controller. ;)

sadly CT sucks and there are only 2 pumps that are within 1hr of me one way... makes no sense to make the switch, instead i run 93 and spray ****, even then e85 would allow for way more timing then i can run right now safely.
